Since when were "petitions" recognised as valid?

I seem to remember a petition called "New York City Can" which was signed by 80.000 people!! Eighty Thousand New York Residents wanted a fresh investigation into the events of September the 11th 2001! These people and their petition was rejected for NO reason.

Yet we are to be expected to accept 1700 scientist petitioner claims based on dubious,questionable "science"?

Here's a fact. At one time there were over 6,000 data points throughout the northern hemisphere.

Oddly enough the data points being used in places like Canada and central Russia are no longer being used and this disinformation you call 'fact' is actually just 1,000 coastal data points compared to what used to be 6000 in the entire norther hemisphere data.

There is always going to be debate in the scientific community about the finer details of any theory. That is what science is about! The continual asking of questions while seeking for a common answer. My wife is returning from west virginia because her grandfather is dying and she wanted to say goodbye. Coming home, she fueled the car in W.V. she calls me because she thinks the gas gauge was broken because she had travelled almost 500 miles since she filled up. the gas she put in had no ethanol in it. If the scientists are receiving over 90% of their research funding from the Government (who needs the scientists to produce warming trend results in order to pass things like ethanol requirements) then they're not really independant are they?
