It's quite possible that Casaroli/ theVatican itself ordered the attack, and that the purpose of the attack was to badly hurt the Pope, not kill him. Agca was a professional assassin, so when he really wanted to kill the Pope, John paul II would have been dead that day. There is no miracle involved.
