i dont understand what you mean by connected to the box? yeah its a simple hack up of the wii remote taking the analogue inputs from the mercury switch and converting them to a digital output which the simple processing program uses.

the arduino board is a microcontroller, which is a little prossesor - like the ones in your computer, but a little less powerful - and yses code from your computer, to controll tinngs that would take lots of hadrware.
