I don't like the percussion, nor the electronic bon tempi sounding pianos, but the interpretation is outstanding. Very well accomplished playing with lustrous musicality and feeling. I can easily imagine this as a stage performance opening opening a grand ceremony.
Handel would be pleased that you nailed this piece. Total perfection and with all the feeling in the world. You left me breathless. Thank you for such magnificence.
Truly awesome! So impressed with this performance, and in the garden... two guys doing what they enjoy... what a perfect place to be in life...
The only thing that I didn't like about it was the percussion/effects added, they seemed out of place, but that's not spoilt my opinion and instant love of the performance!
It is played with a vigor I've never before witnessed in this piece, and I've listened to a lot of interpretations of it. The gentle percussion adds a delightful flair, undoubtedly modern, but I can't help but feel true to the original work.
The setting is perfect, the technique fantastic, the pace brisk, and the overall work masterful.
I wonder if the way I feel on hearing this is the way it felt to stand in the presence of Handel...
Too bad it is all fake, check 1:15 the only connection to the masterkeyboard is power in. No Midi Out, no connection to a pc - yet we hear a crystal clear tone.
Two talented musicians from Silesia, Poland, Jan and Leszek, their interest we experienced was not only in jazz tradition. They chose a part from G.F.Handel "Solomon oratorio" : "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba", original the piece composed for orchester. They rearranged it for two pianos and were busy making their very first performance in YouTube. They did it excellent, with distinctive technique, humour and exquisite feeling. This music swings too!
You guys, made an excellent homage to Handel. he would much appreciate your deed.
When I see you performing, open air, two synthesizers, I really understand the perfect sync of Handel's architecture for this music. You make easier to like it more. Great job, congratulations
beautiful!! - any chance to download this as mp3?
