Society needs to move forward, beyond skin color. Blacks are equally smart, intelligent, brilliant as non blacks. The brain organ is the same. Family structure has always been a problem from slavery, where the men were taken away, black women raised their children on their own. Because marriage makes family out of strangers, it exponentially increases the child's protective extended family. My personal observation is that Caribbean and African blacks have less self-destructive cultural attitudes than African Americans. As for welfare, whites collect only slightly more than blacks in total--BUT there are five times as many whites as blacks in the US. So per capita, blacks collect much more welfare than whites.

@takfam07 MLK had a nice dream, but it wasn’t piratical for that time. Racism isn’t going away any time soon. Even civil rights leaders like Wyatt Walker and James Farmer admitted that ending desegregation did little to end racism. Black people in the 60s needed a stronger movement than what MLK was pushing for. Rather than integration, the movement should have been for justice and self-reliance.

A simple thing like segregating citizens based on who’s an Evolue and who isn’t has created divisions in Africa that previously hasn’t been there. Society needs to move forward, beyond skin color. Blacks are equally smart, intelligent, brilliant as non blacks. The brain organ is the same. A black child faces other contributing factor and challenges as to why he's not as successful. The absence of a responsible male figure is a prominent problem in the black community. It's been addressed, actions are taken now, and there will be an increase of black marriages, responsible fathers in the near future

@Therealtruth101ful stop blaming a fatherless house. It is the choices you make that shape your future. Some children are raised by asshole abusing fathers and or parents or no fathers at all. And still overcome and go on to live productive lives. Some people use that absent parent card as an excuse to go out and do evil. It's simply struggle of power, survival of the fittest, and of course one group will always prevail over the other...unfortunately, it happened the way it did. However, there are many positive news in the black community, the negative is not as bad as it's portrayed sometimes. The media/society like to focus on the negative to confirm stereotypes, biased theories about Blacks. Many black children are raised in two parent household. The reality, people recover faster than others, some need push, some are confused, given up can't look beyond what the society thinks. Some are also striving/thriving.

Family structure has always been a problem from slavery, where the men were taken away, black women raised their children on their own. Many black men have low self esteem, it goes back to what society thinks when they see a black skin color. How can you be a man, father, take responsibilities, you don't know what it entails.

There will always be an opposition from Blacks. Non blacks imply, have the mindset the more melanin someone has it means incompetence, low IQ, less intelligent, less attractive. It's beyond skin color, stupid IQ. High unemployment, illiteracy will produce more crime/violence. More black men are incarcerated guilty, sometimes innocent. Less funding in black schools, not equipped enough to compete.

Non Blacks will never understand. Only Blacks understand the mental, psychological, mindset that is involved. Blacks are not cars, where you can take to the shop and fix it just like that. Blacks are still figuring it all out, the mental scars will take time to heal. It will be gradual, it can be done, and it will be done. We experienced pretty heavy racial discrimination, too. Maybe not as heavy as blacks. But the point is, enough to know what it's like. Whites weren't exactly rooting for us to succeed here. @MrTrollslasher My point wasn't to be racist. It was simply that the extremely high illegitimacy rate is a tragedy for blacks. Any responsible black leader would have to agree. Because marriage makes family out of strangers, it exponentially increases the child's protective extended family. And without a male figure of authority, protection, financial responsibility, and teaching in the household, all the bad stuff--drugs, crime, low education, teen pregnancy, welfare--are way more likely.

@MrTrollslasher Well, African American families pretty much comprise "black families" in America, with the exception of Haitian and maybe African immigrant communities. My personal observation is that Caribbean and African blacks have less self-destructive cultural attitudes than African Americans. As for welfare, whites collect only slightly more than blacks in total--BUT there are five times as many whites as blacks in the US. So per capita, blacks collect much more welfare than whites.

@takfam07 MLK had a nice dream, but it wasn’t piratical for that time. Racism isn’t going away any time soon. Even civil rights leaders like Wyatt Walker and James Farmer admitted that ending desegregation did little to end racism. Black people in the 60s needed a stronger movement than what MLK was pushing for. Rather than integration, the movement should have been for justice and self-reliance.

A simple thing like segregating citizens based on who’s an Evolue and who isn’t has created divisions in Africa that previously hasn’t been there. It's a little much to say that Timbuktu was the world's "top university," as the European universities like Bologna, Paris, Oxford, Cambridge, Salamanca, and Padua were already in their full glory. Probably Derek Jeter-ish. The question is, did ancient Egypt have racial hierarchies just like modern societies? It's happened throughout history. Look at the US, whites took over Native Americans. Also, most advancements in modern Southeast Asia come not from the indigenous Asians, but from Han Chinese who moved there more recently. And individuals who are mixed blood--Chinese and indigenous.

East Asia provides examples of cultures that were advanced enough to withstand wholesale colonization, and smart and disciplined enough to Westernize and to be up-and-up with the West itself. But Japanese have this ability to regroup. They're not intrinsically better than anyone. Geographical circumstances, luck, and their homogenous culture shaped their racial character. But they've been tested, and they've come out successful. I always think that blacks should study the Japanese, borrow whatever works.

dna don't prove squat. For instance, the jarawas of India are said to be more closely identified with the asian but yet they are wholly African. Due to isolation from the motherland and a change in environment, food etc changed their dna to read differently but yet they are still black and African.
