I have to weigh in here too. There is NO comparison to the show before and after Jackie. The comedic chemistry between Howard, Robin, Jackie, Fred, and FA-FA-FO-HI was just incredible. I have never heard the Sirius show to be fair, but if what I am hearing on the Internet is true, I want no part of it. I always knew once Howard got rid of all his "issues" the show would suffer. Now, he doesn't have Jackie or his old Mommy Dysfunction to give him comedic fuel. Keep the vintage Stern coming cpuss!
Actually, that's not quite true. I HAVE heard the show with Artie. I should have said that I haven't listened to more than a few shows, but as should be obvious to you be my always overwhelmingly positive "Pro-Jackie" Thumbs up responses from youtube users, that the Jackie-era Show was the best no contest. But, I guess one WOULD have to explain that to someone like yourself who has the complete lack of musical taste to listen to the Jesus Twins. Artie is great - but no one can replace Jackie.
Thanks very much for this. To each his own, but I can't imagine ANYONE preferring the Stern show of today to the mid 90's version. THe news segments alone kill...put this against ANY Sirius era news segment...the difference in energy and wit is very apparent.
You couldn't be more correct. If the old Howard would have been told what he would become in 2008, he would probably killed himself from shame. He truly has become everything he stood against.
Pre Artie was great

I think you're all way to involved in over analyzing the people that you forgot about the show.

Jackie was right. These guys were the Beatles. With Artie, they're the Rolling Stones with Ron Wood.

Yes, and as time has proven out, Stern was Ringo.

Oh, I'm not too sure. Artie goofing on Gary for that pitch this week was insane. And Howard goofs on new Disney trends (Miley Cyrus and Jonas Bros.)

@borntorun1970 John Cleese lost the energy to perform his manic acting style after he conselling'd his issues, too.

Its sad now. Old Howard would have hated what he has become today. He became what he hated.

I think a lot of the better news segments had to do with Jackie and his comments and voices. During these segments Artie doesn't say much at all.

@ctracy1 I agree. I stopped listening to him on Sirius all together, and instead listen to full shows in the 90's all day instead.
