@politicalpollution google this information. The distance from the Earth to the moon changes depending on orbital position along with the visual size and appearance. I have seen it big on the horizon and small in the sky in winter. The shuttle in this video is a little bit out away from Earth so it's even further from the moon than the earth is. I don't understand how you can not first assume this is the moon. If it went in a zig-zag and was blinking, I would say its not the moon.

another way to know its the moon: the surface of the Earth we see in this video is being light up by the sun, otherwise it would be dark. So the moon is somewhere straight behind the camera, so it makes sense that it would be the moon since its in that direction.

It's kind of small in this video because its about 230,000 miles away, and it appears to be moving quickly because of the angle the camera is at, plus both bodies are moving so there is angular momentum... a lot of people have high school educations and get this stuff. I doubt it's the moon, for many reasons. 1st, the moon is near 1/4 the size of earth and this thing looks to small. 2nd, the moons orbit rotates the same direction as the rotation of the earth and clearly this is not. 3rd, it takes 28 days for the moon to orbit once around the earth and at the speed this thing is moving it would orbit in a couple of days. Don't know what it is but it's not the moon.

I know that comment wasn't aimed toward me, but I did in fact take Astronomy classes for about 4 months in high school back in the day..it does look quite like the moon indeed, after all it is roughly 230,000 miles away, it would look small of course..and the video does seem to show a somewhat fixed elliptical orbit with a fixed velocity..but at the same time..as TheAlienContactee said below..you never know these days with all the disinformation floating around clouding peoples minds.

It's obviously something from the ISS. Note the speed and direction is nearly exact to the ISS. It either came from the ISS or it is something being retracted via a cable.

Since it is under no clear ability to accelerate, slow down, & maneuver, it should not be considered a 'flying object', but rather just an unidentifiable object (UO).
