I'm not impressed by multi core processors. Back in 2000 intel said they would release 10ghz processors in 2011. All we have is bad programming in video games because of all the unnecessary features that having a multi core processor brings. I want to play video games that look more amazing and I don't want to have to deal with applications and games like GTA IV that were improperly coded due to the complexity of the cpu architecture. Also I would like to see sli support as well as crossfire.

I looked at the price for the Q6600 through Q9's and decided on the i7 instead, boy am I glad I spent a few more dollars on the new mobo and 920, it chews even the Q9's clock for clock up for breakfast and spits out AMDs.

Alright, nice example. Let's look at it in the long run, you have four guys trying to ride on horse from point A to B. They each have to ride on the horse one at a time(and lets say the horse is smart enough to head back alone) It would take four times as long as four horses with four riders.

It all depens on what PC your talking about yes the cell prosessor kicks quad cores ass but if the pc has 2 quad cores (Apples Mac Pro) Which hads 2 Intel Xeon quad core prosessors. also the cell prosessor is the main reasion that many games will not be brought out for the ps3.
no in terms of graphics the pc is better because you can upgrade the graphics..there are already dx10 graphics cards out which are way better than dx9 in the ps3. the ps3 will get old in 1-2 years in terms of graphics since in the comptuer world something new comes out every few months.
This CPU its totally pointless now for a regular user. The only reason for someone to get it is to say hey i got the QX6700 and to get in someones face with it... it will take time for games to get the full benefit of using the 4 cores. This CPU is only for people who do a lot of rendering and 3d animations and so on... The price of this unit will drop a lot next year just wait and you will see.
I have the Q6600 and it easily runs ported games like Skyrim at 60 fps.

Man, With 4 core, 4 informations pass each one in a core. If you have 4 core working at 3ghz, It's same to have 1 working at 12ghz. cause this informations will pass at the same speed in a 1 core with 12ghz than a 4 cores wolrking at 3.0

Alright, nice example. Let's look at it in the long run, you have four guys trying to ride on horse from point A to B. They each have to ride on the horse one at a time(and lets say the horse is smart enough to head back alone) It would take four times as long as four horses with four riders.

it goes hipper fast. you don't need to wait for anything. it runs vista with blasting speeds. when i shut down, i wait about 5-10 seconds. i have a 8800gts and games run at full specs with no problem, in windows vista that is well known for consuming more cpu and ram.

But still AMD has always had better processors throughout history, AMD Athlon 64 killed everything Intel had in its time, AMD Dual-Core killed the Intel equlents everyday, AMD have been the ones to fix Intels mistakes and make things to work fully. Intel didn't innovate 64-bit processor technology. AMD has just been slow-moving the last year.

AMD innovates the technology Intel did wrong. 64-bit, all thanks to AMD, actual performing CPUs... well, that's AMD too. AMD has always been ahead of Intel talking about performance. It all depens on what PC your talking about yes the cell prosessor kicks quad cores ass but if the pc has 2 quad cores (Apples Mac Pro) Which hads 2 Intel Xeon quad core prosessors. also the cell prosessor is the main reasion that many games will not be brought out for the ps3.

no in terms of graphics the pc is better because you can upgrade the graphics..there are already dx10 graphics cards out which are way better than dx9 in the ps3. the ps3 will get old in 1-2 years in terms of graphics since in the comptuer world something new comes out every few months.

This CPU its totally pointless now for a regular user. The only reason for someone to get it is to say hey i got the QX6700 and to get in someones face with it... it will take time for games to get the full benefit of using the 4 cores. This CPU is only for people who do a lot of rendering and 3d animations and so on... The price of this unit will drop a lot next year just wait and you will see.
