PC gaming is ok, as long as you are willing to pay 1000 dollar each year for an upgrade. While with consoles, you upgrade each decade. Release price is almost half a decent pc. I play pc games only if there are pc exclusive games (The Witcher etc) or when when games look better/less load on PC.

The textures on console SUCKS. thats why its so fucking dark. They have shitty textures when you are 1-5 meters away from the objects. but when you get closer it will get a little better, one simple way to test this is in bf3 og cod. run into an wall and take a good look at the wall when the textures get a little better after 1-3 seconds.

No, the technique used in CE3 (deferred lightning) is more advanced and runs better and more economically on modern hardware. Thats the whole reason why it runs on consoles, because the renderer gets better and make it possible to run on console. However the Illumination in Crysis might demand more hardware power, but at the same time is MUCH more acurate and beautiful than the illumination in C2(and C1 on console) wich is still limited by the console.

Pfft, i can play Crysis on Very High at full 1080p, frame rates are good, but it's still a demanding game. IGN are idiots, they don't even have the game cranked clear up for PC, it buries anything a pitiful console can pull off. They put glossy textures, and darken things to make you think it looks better. Also the consoles are all set at 720p native resolution. There are only like 20 games that are native 1080p for consoles. Get your facts straight IGN. PCs dominate in graphics.

@TheSnakeface666 I don't know if you've played both versions, but they both have a totally different color scheme and lighting. The Xbox 360 version is much brighter. The PC version is quite a bit darker, yet lighting looks more realistic, and the colors are much more vibrant on the PC version. While the 360 version of lighting is brighter, it doesn't mean it's more realistic. But, the difference between the two, is not enough to make you want to spend a crap load of money to play it on PC.

First, yea just 1 PS3 scene...two the console version of crysis its on CryEngine 3 and the PC version(from 2007) its on CryEngine 2.It looks alot better on the console, the pc version requires a 1000$ PC to run decent at max graphics, and still looks.....
