@valondon no, it isnt, there is no clear objective here besides kill the other team, so people just run at each other and spam skills, you cant even invade enemy home worlds and raid entire cities, im not even a fan of that but at least it offers something deeper than this.

Tatooine does not look like a good map for world pvp; the entire map is flat and without cover and or places where tactics can even come into play. sad really because that is the zone where players are introduced to world pvp. /sigh.
@djuanOD That actually makes for better PvP. Only the smuggler-like characters will be hurt without cover. And most of the PvP in this game is pretty open like this, only on a much much smaller scale.

This is very clearly NOT server lag. This is an fps issue due to grpahical settings. You will notice the character moving around just fine without skipping around, but things just seem 'laggy' because his computer is having a hard time rendering everything going on simultaneously.
@TEHZUh so it was fraps slowing it down and was fine without it running? what are your system specs btw? I did a pretty large raid and didn't notice any slowdown.
@TEHZUh One common mistake people make with fraps is recording at 30 fps, make sure it's running at 50 or 60 fps, else Fraps will make your game run at 30. And ofc your GPU and CPU need to be able to handle it.
@tarallaccio HAH! Not at the beginning they didn't, it was so poorly optimised that even small scale PvP was laggy - I remember Tier 3 being the worst (that's all I got to before I quit.) WAR had so much potential, but EA/Mythic seemed to forget what made DAoC so popular in the first place.
Biggest problem with SWTOR game is that World PvP gets a bit boring, there needs to be an objective. This is why DAoC is still the best tab-target PvP MMO.

AoC had TERRIBLE PVP. War had a good idea but the lead devs mismanaged it. The base designers then left and came to Biowares team when mythic was bought by Bioware and EA.

@TEHZUh so it was fraps slowing it down and was fine without it running? what are your system specs btw? I did a pretty large raid and didn't notice any slowdown.

@TEHZUh One common mistake people make with fraps is recording at 30 fps, make sure it's running at 50 or 60 fps, else Fraps will make your game run at 30. And ofc your GPU and CPU need to be able to handle it.

@tarallaccio HAH! Not at the beginning they didn't, it was so poorly optimised that even small scale PvP was laggy - I remember Tier 3 being the worst (that's all I got to before I quit.) WAR had so much potential, but EA/Mythic seemed to forget what made DAoC so popular in the first place.
Biggest problem with SWTOR game is that World PvP gets a bit boring, there needs to be an objective. This is why DAoC is still the best tab-target PvP MMO.

AoC had TERRIBLE PVP. War had a good idea but the lead devs mismanaged it. The base designers then left and came to Biowares team when mythic was bought by Bioware and EA.

My system is considered mid range - low end high spec. And i had almost no lag.

@sleepx2 WOW player? yeah its like this on that bear mount run...for most laggy like this...even on my damn uber system I get lag. but since WOW does have to much world open pvp as they need it all prearranged in battleground or warfronts... this type of pvp is a bitch most WOW players do not know real pvp...I came from lineage 2 to wow ANYONE in L2 was a supreme pvper. In L2 is was VERY costly to DIE in WOW...you get honor live or die...

@Docthewrench I never played wow bud... I played Aion which is close enough to Lineage 2. Neither Aion or Lineage 2 were PVP games. They were PVE grind fests where gear and consumables were more important than skill. Please don't call a gear/consumable grind a PVP game.
