I think the emphasis on our global witness as Christians is great. However, having an unbeliever--no knesset member can be a Christian--having an unbeliever who denies that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, open in prayer is disconcerting and shows a lack of discernment for Christians in a Christian gathering--would we have a muslim open as well?
I think that is rather short-sighted.Having been sharing with the minister of Jewish-Christian relations for many years now is an amazing ongoing opportunity to bring our faith to an unbelieving nation. Many Israelis understand that there are Christians who love their people deeply. What better witness than to love them with the love of Christ?
In Israel, unless you are a citizen who is already a Christian convert, if you witness as a Christian you can be deported. Also, sharing with them the love of Christ is different than having someone who will not love Christ lead worship. What next? A mormon, a hindu, a muslim---how bout an atheist leading in prayer. Don't be so undiscerning. You let an individual who denies Jesus as Messiah, who denies His deity, lead prayer, violating God's word in 1 Tim. 3 for spiritual leadership. Not good
Be reminded that "while we were still sinners Christ died for us" knowing that someone would one day come along and point us to him. This Rabbi is in good company and it is Christ's desire that all turn to Him. God hears the prayer of the sinner (that's how we were able to come to know Christ).
Also, Pastor Hayford did a great job in his invitation spelling out that they were praying to "invoke the presence of the Lord" in the place. God was indeed glorified!
There's a downloadable leadsheet for this song available on Tommy's web site - our worship band is going to do this song at our church next Sunday! Can't wait!
Hey, are pastors didn't get to go to the convention but it looks like it was amazing! I just wanted to know what that first song that they sang on this video is called. Like, the title of the song.
I was excited when I received this Video as I was in Jerusalem at the Conference and loved every minute the Worship, Speakers, the Christians in Jerusalem, the tours..etc..I am coming again.
Thank you so much for sharing this clip. My pastor, his wife,my best friend and a few other church family were just there at this conference. They came back so inspired and blessed. I hope to visit Jerusalem one day! Let His kingdome come and His will be done!!

Don't cite 1 Tim 3, because that applies to believers, specifically elders and deacons. And the guy was not leading worship.

Great video... well done! Thanks for posting!
I'm looking for the lyrics to "Do It Lord". This video gave me most of them, (Thank you!) but missed out on the beginning of the song.
Do you have those first few verses by any chance? or the longer unedited version? It would be greatly appreciated!
