There was trust between the mobsters in the Tim Burton shitpile. At least Nolan showed us a Joker who killed at random, for fun, rather than for revenge. It's like Burton has no deeper understanding of characters than simple "good guy, bad guy".

Completely different characters in completely different versions of the story. One has a goal for his antics, the other is a psychopath, a "mad dog." One is satirical and exaggerated, the other dark and serious.
Was it just me, or did the music (specifically when the violins started coming up when he talks to Rachael) come off as that much creepier, disturbing, and darker because the guy playing this character is dead?

Thanks to Heath Ledger, I can act like he does as he does with the Joker. Believe me, I can act "LIKE" him and I'd say I'm pretty good. So I plan this: Take an empty paintball gun, paint my face like the Joker, and go to my friend's house, and act out this wHOOLE VIDEO!!! for me this scene was the most intense...i was really scared that he was gonna hurt rachel (maggi gyllenhal was awesome i love how she kicks him in the gut, apparently she incorporated that into the script herself)

Completely different characters in completely different versions of the story. One has a goal for his antics, the other is a psychopath, a "mad dog." One is satirical and exaggerated, the other dark and serious.

oh yeah actually I kinda scared my Drama teacher when I did this part for her,she knew it was good cause she has seen the movie. So yeah. I can't wait to get on that stage.

Thanks to Heath Ledger, I can act like he does as he does with the Joker. Believe me, I can act "LIKE" him and I'd say I'm pretty good. So I plan this: Take an empty paintball gun, paint my face like the Joker, and go to my friend's house, and act out this wHOOLE VIDEO!!! SKipping the batman parts of course and that I DO actually get to stick my switchblade comb in their mouth and actually slit their mouth with the comb that looks like a switchblade! How's that for fun in OCtober?!!??!! HEAHAH!!

i wonder why nolan decided to edit out the "ooooh" before he says "very poor choice of words". You can clearly see heath moving his lips but nolan edited it out. It sounded good in the trailer.
