Megadeath means mass death, it was featured in a song dave wrote. When he brought his band together he remembered the word and thought it would be a good name for a band. he removed the "A" to stop it being just a word and to make it the bands name. It looks cooler too.

i think people voted you down because they don't understand what you mean in your post. They think your being cocky, probably havent noticed the guy spelt the bands name wrong. They uploader probably just used the originally word that megadeth comes from, which means mass death of one million people.
