  • I'm buying a seadoo gti se 155 pwc today and this video is by far the most informative. i can't find a video ike this relating to a pwc. thank u so much keep up the great work.

  • thank you so much

  • we do diffrent first we check the plug take off the motor travel suport take off straps then trim the outboard all the way up.then my dad backs me half way down the ramp then we undo the wench.then he backs the tralier in the water till i say stop.at that point i trim the outboard in the water start it and let it warm up.then i say come on back when he backs up i put the boat in reverse and give it gas.once its off the trailer i tell my dad to pull out and then i go pick him up.

  • I UP TO BUY A SPEED BOAT SOON, LIKE THAT, AND I LIKE SO MUCH OF YOUR VIDEO, I LEARN A LOT.

    THANKS GUYS

    LUIZ

  • Great Video...my brother just bought a used boat and I know he doesnt have the common sense to do any of this so i figured i would watch a video in case im ever with him while hes unloading it!

  • my dad has one strap holding the boat which is the main strap in the front of the trailer.

  • Good video & nice boat. A couple things that I would add:

Use a chock behind the tow vehicle wheel for extra security.

Unplug the trailer lights. I know this is controversial but I do it.

If you are launching where there is a dock, tie your lines on before launching.

That's what I didn't like about that ramp at Beltzville. There isn't a dock right beside the ramp.

  • stupid video

  • that is an awesome boat!!

  • Hi guys, great video and I'm sure a lot of people really appreciate it, including myself!

I just bought my very first Seadoo and I was wondering if you could show us how to do a 1-person launch of a PWC (or a boat)? Are there any tips or tricks to doing it yourself? This video gave me a lot of ideas but I would rather see how it can be done by the pros. Great videos and keep it up!

  • Hi BrokenFusion72, Thank you for your comment. Certain types of exhaust are not allowed at Beltzville. Exhaust systems that switch the exhaust from above to below water are restricted. This boat just has above water exhaust with no switch. So it is legal. Thank you for your comment. Enjoy the lake! There's some great coves to sit back and relax in.

  • Nice video. I am going to Beltzville for the first time and I was trying to get an idea of how the ramp looks. So this video was perfect for that. I thought that through the hull exhaust like yours was not allowed at Beltzville?

  • All excellent points! Thank you for your input.

  • very nicely done, guys. Bugt a few nitpicks:

    1. You forgot to unplug your trailer lights. Yeah, they are supposed to be waterproof, but still a good practice.

    2. You sould have told people to set the parking brake on the truck!

    3. You should have had a line or two about "boat ramp courtosey" and to do the untying at the staging area, not on the ramp like so many people do.

    4. Also some advice to practice backing at an empty parking lot or something.

    But good job!

  • All excellent points! Thank you for your input.

  • noticed the truck had PA plates, what lake is that? Im trying to find places to go and boat

  • The video was shot at Beltzville Lake in Beltzville, PA. For more PA boating locations please visit the PA Fish & Boat Commissions county guide. Just Google "PFBC".

  • great video, great boat.

  • i love this video

  • that thing roars!

  • Is a 4x4 required for launching and retrieving?

  • Hi, A 4x4 is not required to launch or retrieve a boat but it may help. On some ramps they can get very wet and have marine growth on them. This will cause the ramp to be slippery. A 4x4 or AWD will help pulling the rig out of the water. Get an idea of the ramp you are going to. If it is too steep and slippery try to find a better ramp somewhere else. Thank you for your comment.

  • we should have done that at a lake in conroe tx.the lake is called lake conroe.we were putting are boat in and the ramp was as steep as could be an so slippery! we did good launching launching we were spining the wheels preety good.we have a 2 wheel drive chevy avalancha it might be spelled wrong.and when i said we had a roller trailer we have a bunk tralier.sorry

  • it depends on the type of launch. If it's a slippery launch, if you have a heavy load and your truck is rwd your screwed.

  • nice boat!!

  • Hi Epmonito. The boat is a 2005 Baja 232 Islander with thru hull exhaust. That's the mean sound from the engine. It sounds even better running across the water!

  • Nice video

  • I just bought a boat and am picking it up in Mid-May. Its just a little 15.5ft seadoo...

but i'm a bit apprehensive about the launching thing. You make it look so easy. I sure wish I had you guys along with me on my first launch!

    Sara

  • Hi Sara, Thank you for the compliment. I wish we could help you with launching your new boat but I'm sure your not close to Allentown, PA. One thing I would recommend is going to the boat launch during off peak times. The ramps are normally empty during the week. If you can go then you can practice bringing the boat on and off the trailer several times. Take care and enjoy your new boat!

  • Very nice thank you

  • Very nice thank you - i hope to go boating one day.

  • good job
