@tunying16 Patched it? This method, maybe. But if you have firefox or safari for your browser, you can just download a plug-in/add-on that will let you download the video.

Honestly, hun? I made this video so long ago now that the method is beyond outdated. I'm just sorry to have messed you around at all.

If you have firefox, you can just download 'addons' from their website that will more or less let you do everything, such as download videos in everything from wmv, right to avi.

If all you want is the video, with no special conversion (which isn't necessary anyway)...

There is NO easier way than this: just type "pwn"

3 little letters to get the download links.

YOu can try it right now. In the URL bar of this window, type 'pwn' in front of youtube to change your url to pwnyoutube. Hit enter and you will get links to download both the standard version and the high quality version.

The site includes links to any video players you might need.

I made this video a while ago. So the process will probably be outdated by now. But try searching the web, and you'll find plenty of equivalents for vixy, that still do the job.

It works great if you use "zillatube" :---)

Downloads from youtube at fast speed, and also helps you play them. (and also convert them) e.g. convert to mp4 or mp3  for ipod/itunes, mp3 player, mpg for movie maker, powerpoint and more.

Some sites may stop working. I just use "Zillatube" - it downloads from youtube in seconds, even play and convert them.

halfbloodprincess331 - i use ZillaTube. ZillaTube downloads youtube videos to your computer desktop. To play the file anytime, just drop it into Zillatube - simple as 1 2 3. :)

you should try downloading the k-lite codec.

It's the only codec i use, bar from ffdshow :D

You are downloading it into a .flv right? Cos if not, then trying to encode it, it might come up with that

in the vid, i showed how you would choose the original vid, then further down, it would show the same name.

Did you rename it from .flv to .wmv? cos if you just left it, it really won't convert, except duplicating the same file.

Otherwise, i can only suggest restarting the encoder and trying again

i did try to convert the flv file to a dvd format. But that didn't work out.

The only thing i can suggest is getting winavi converter and converting the wmv file into a dvd file, then burning it.

Bit lengthy. But it does work

From personal experience, yes, it's possible to burn to DVD. But only certain formats such as AVI, MPEG or MP4 will burn.

I haven't yet heard of one for FLV?
