Thanks, so far no issues with the starter, turns out I was wrong about the location of the regulator (stupid online microfiche), so I'll be taking the exhaust off this weekend to get to the frame... I'll post the vid next week. (I need to sort out my carb mixtures next)

I have had my XV700 for around 6 months now, 3 of which It hasn't been on the road.

I have ended up giving it a complete service, and now have had to get a new CDI unit because it was still misfiring. I don't know if you noticed the annoyingly loud and sometimes churning starter the virago is famous for either.

Glad to see things are coming along.
