  • it sounds a lot like the "quadrilha" songs in brazil.

  • noethern spaniards (ie. asturians, galicians, and basques) share almost 98 or 99 percetn of teh same dna genes as irish and scottish people...galicians are very roud of their celtic roots, even if the original celtic languagee was supplanted by latin...this is realy beatufil music sounds like the wolftones mixed with the gypsy kings...good stuff

  • Look up at the study that geneticist doctor Dan Bradley carried out at Trinity College a couple of years ago. It basically linked up the peoples of the western fridge of the British Isles with different waves of migrations from Northern Iberia, namely Galicia and the Basque Country.

  • Some people may have not heard of Britonia or the Tower of Breogan, the Leabar Ghabala, the very name of Galicia....In fact we could say that Galicia is the mother of all Celtic nations...

  • @Maeloch I think, the Celtic cradle is the Hallstatt - La Téne culture in the early iron age in the northern Alps.

And after the germanic expansion they radiated all around Europe. But it's a very interesting and misterious theme. :)

    Regards!

  • @Maeloch You mean the mother of the gaelic-celtic nations

  • Gracias Arany, por este video y tantos otros que tu presentas sobre música típica de otras regiones

  • Aran, I have yet to find on YT such a perfect blend of beautiful photos and enchanting music as you upload. Wonderful! Thanks a lot.

  • This reminds me a bit of the Italian folk song Tarantella. . . or I may just be crazy. Hahaha

  • This identical to Welsh folk music. Amazing.

  • @shirehorse9 pfft galicia probably stole it from them, they like to steal from real celtic nations.

  • @Zombsta 100 % pure Ibero-Celtic stuff!!!

  • @Zombsta Nobody steals anything from anybody, we all share the same sounds and the same spirit. Can you trace that back in order to sustain your assertion?? I'm afraid you can't. So, let the sounds and the stones and the melodies do the talking then.

  • @Zombsta

  • Festive and a joy to listen to. I was reading that the original inhabitants of the British Isles arrived from your part of Europe.
