@hexjoyce you can still copy a larger file than 4 gb on FAt32 as long as it doesnt come as 1 whole file..ex. i copied a game which is 6gb,but it consist of 1 folder but several files inside of it to make it 6gb..that will work..but a 6gb movie ripped into mkv file cannot be copied into a FAT32 hard drive..

@slayerdude10 Hey, man. The answer is no. Also, just because you have games on an external hard drive does not mean that you can play them. Your PS3 must be jailbroken. The only way to jailbreak a ps3 that is 3.72 right now is the e3 flasher which costs $80 and the PS3 is really only worth it because of how great online play is anyways. I know this news kind of sucks, but I'm pretty sure that's how it is right now.

no. To check your firmware, select settings then system settings then choose system information,it will show you what firmware you are using.if your firmware is 3.55, then you can jailbreak your ps3 and play games from a hard drive.

@MrManideep007 Well I'm not sure you can crack it because it has to be firmware 3.55 or below. I don't know if they come with the latest firmware update. I'm not going to actually suggest you do anything, but I had my PS3 jailbroken for quite some time and didn't get in trouble. When I was done, I reverted to the latest firmware and now I play online again. So I mean it's up to you.

@MegaNabil1983 For one, make sure that if you like that game, you go buy it. Also, you need to make sure your hard drive is FAT 32 formatted. If all else fails, try the zipped version of the game.

@yonicute It's cool. First of all, you must be on the 3.55 firmware to be able to jailbreak your ps3. Second, if you do jailbreak, say goodbye to online play. Third, you must delete everything on your ps3 to revert back to the original, but that doesn't mean you can't back up your saves and what not onto a hard drive.

@yonicute They vary extremely. The smallest I've seen was like 4 GB and then the largest (God of War III) is 30 GB, but I'd say most on average are about 8.

@ChaosNMK If the files are split, you should be able to copy them to the ps3 hard drive using multiman, which I'm pretty sure will rejoin the files for you. Hopefully that would take care of the first two. As far as Dragon Age 2, I'd have to say that you're most likely downloading it from some torrent site and they gypped you, am I correct?

The only thing I would suggest is a high rpm external hard drive so that read times are good and so it doesn't take long loading. Most drives are 5600 rpms I suggest a 7200 rpm or, if you can find it, a 10000 rpm.
