dood if u want a tele thats good for metal look for the jim root signature telecaster. it has emg 80's and 81's and its not made from that wood that makes the regular tele and its like 3 times heavier.

u would have to make bigger holes for the pu's to fit in for any humbucker (so the answer is it is not possible without modification)

yeah, most of tone comes from the amp the more distorted you get, this does show the quality of the MIM tele, the pickups are really clear under all that distortion, nice video i love teles too!
