When the lead singer had the longer hair and the glitter stripes on his cheeks he looked like Marc Bolan from T. Rex. Also in "Unwanted" I think he has a picture of David Bowie on the back of his jacket.

I think they are a little bit glam rock inspired- the mildly gothic androgyny.

A few of the debatably emo bands seem glam rock inspired.
