you do realize the only reason the ussr didnt collapse is because britain kept a second front in africa. And the Americans sent support to the USSR and UK. Without this both would have fallen. @RoosterCogburn1008 Actually by the end of WW2 the Americans had hardly any atomic weapons left and any threat to use them would have been a bluff. It probably would have ended up as a stalemate in France, the soviets would have probably made inital gains due to superior numbers and offensive doctrine but Britain and the Soviets would quickly have been totally exhausted and the US would have to hold out in Europe pretty much on her own.

@MyFaceBurns I highly doubt that. If England went to war with the Soviets in 1945, I'm positive the U.S. would have sided with them. Especially if Patton was alive. And with the Soviets years away from developing an atomic bomb, it would have been one of the shortest wars ever for extremely little life lost for the Americans and British. And you'd save the millions of people who died because of the Soviet Union, and butterfly away the cold war and the wars involved in it. No Korea no Vietnam etc

@RoosterCogburn1008 Actually by the end of WW2 the Americans had hardly any atomic weapons left and any threat to use them would have been a bluff. It probably would have ended up as a stalemate in France, the soviets would have probably made inital gains due to superior numbers and offensive doctrine but Britain and the Soviets would quickly have been totally exhausted and the US would have to hold out in Europe pretty much on her own.
