oops again, I guess the original is now two posts below this one. At any rate, though not an easy dive due to depths, water temperature and currents, experienced divers can find a wealth of wrecks in this area. Take care... Conditions change on the big lakes as quickly as they do at sea.
oops ..plz forgive above post I had intended that as a "send to friend" comment, not a general viewing comment. Anyway, the name Death's Door came from the treacherous currents where the waters met, which caused many shipwrecks, esp back when the Port was a shipping hub.
More of me.. or what made me me. This is the top of the penninsula, where the bay of Green Bay meets Lake Michiga, otherwise known as Death's Door (since changed, as Death's Door is not very tourist friendly). I lost a camera FULL of pictures here once...
