Can't believe I'm just finding your channel! (well, Proud2banurse found it and I just clicked a link! lol) But your locs are beautiful. Lookin forward to more from you my brotha. Peace and blessings. OH, Quick question: Did/do you separate your locs at all?
@neselvince thank you so much. I was requested to make a vid about the wraps so that might be next most likely. P2BAN is my girl. She made my subscriptions sky rocket, Gotta love her and her bubbliness.
proud2banurse sent me your way. love your hair. i'm free-forming, but my roots don't blend like yours, i can still see all my parts. At what point did your parts disappear?
Oh wait.. I just asked you on another video about some early pics and here they are. Are you Younggentleman on NP? I remember seeing one of your pics somewhere. Nice locs man.. really an inspiration.
@superslyfoxx1 yup I definitely am YoungGentleman on NP. I haven't been on there in forever. When they update the forums it became impossible for my to log into my account... smh. Glad my crown brings inspiration. Just continuing the cycle like those from NP that inspired me :)
Wow! Your hair is hot to def! Proud2banurse sent me over here, and it looks like I owe her a huge thank you. Your hair looks super awesome....thanks for sharing your journey.
Blessings, your locs look really good. It gave me a a lil hope because i have been semi free forming for 3 months now! I have a hard time keeping my locs apart! i dont want them to connect. do you do any separating? if so what do you do? Blessings.
@chyitaria dont let them connecting scare you. dont separate too much. once a week is more than good enough (too much will thin them out). Just watch them carefully and separate those that are coming too close (if that makes sense). also at the beginning you will have them trying to connect alot more than later on. Remember you had them separated in squares (from when you used to do manicured) now the hair strand are gonna shift from loc to loc. Give it time and you will be good.
For you herbal rinses what do you use..i want to start managing my own hair because as of recently my scalp has been kind of dry i think its due to the product my loctician uses im not sure tho.
@wcc181 herbal wise I have started to do a rosemary rinse and about to try a rosemary and mint rinse (check @cupidvalentino1 videos for that). but if you still twisting keep it simple. So far I realized the less you put in you hair and just love your hair along with keeping the cold from having too much of a bad effect you will be good. Keep on your journey bro... you will see your path unfold just for you. Keep it simple and listen to the voice within.
@spaceratk thanks man i checked out that herbal rinse vid a while back and it seems legit i cant wait to try it prob in 3wks or so and as far as twisting goes ill give myself til my one year til i stop twisting and freeform from time to time or idk yet.
@spaceratk oh no worries man i just concerned about twisting to much dont want my hair thinning out i want my hair to be as healthy as possible when they mature.
@prettyboymarcus17 well the way my locs journey went was as followed. 1mth to 6 mth: I went and got my hare twisted and washed every month or two months at a salon. I then noticed build up and also felt like I should take the managing of my hair into my own hands. From that I learned from many on here and on a forum I used to frequent called Nappturality. Started twisting with just oil by myself for another six months. Then from there to now (additional 3 years) I stopped twisting.
@scottdenise32 I'll make one in a few days (got sick after having new years fun lol). I learned it from another youtuber years back but forgot who it was. The green wrap is made from a tshirt cut into strips. Video will come soon.
wow was sent by proud2banurse nice video how long have you had you dreads?
