The Iraqi police refused to release them from prison and in the end troops were sent to break them out. Democracy depends on people being able to make informed choices, otherwise how are we to decide who to vote for etc.

Blair didn't go to war to kill innocent people. There is no evidence for that and you haven't produced any. You might not agree with his judgement, but you have no evidence that he deliberately wanted to murder innocents.
