exactly what i got, but from playing MW2 i could play Halo 3 for Hours on end and never get this problem, played on Halo 3 for about a year, so that makes my xbox 1 year old, then i get MW2 put it in play for 2 weeks then my xbox just dies on me.

It started like that too for me. Was playin a game then lines, bars and then pixelization. Tested it on aother T.V. for a few moments then E-74 Contact Xbox support. The first T.V. was HDMI the second T.V. was regular A/V. sAME RESULTS.

E74 errors can be casued by many things but it has nothing to do with the AV cable, 4 Red lights mean it is the AV cable. Most E74 Errors have been caused by HEAT!

Hopefully your right. I just got my first E74 error today while playing batman arkham asylum. I'ts about 85 degrees today. Maybe heat was the culprit.

no its the chip/area that the AV cable plugs into your xbox, more frequently the hdmi port

What is strange is that about 47% of people who get the e-74 error are playing Call of Duty 4 when the lines start to appear.....and that includes me..and you....ther other 53% is split up into many other games.

we got that error 2. today xbox came back from repair... it worked fine few hours, and just minute ago, came new graffic error (sorry my bad english) but it wasn't same as before, it was different... could the new graffic error be in the game itself (we bought it used) or is our xbox going broke again.. :/

no its the ghaphics card dude, not the cable, if you are using HDMI that usually causes the error with the ANA/HANA chips.

Same thing happened to me today, 12 days outside warranty. Let it overheat wrapped in some towels for 1/2 hour and it boots again. Not sure how long this solution will last though...

when i get the white lines, I know what's about to happen, So I get rly sad, i turn my xbox off back on.. if you hear the fan, it's like either white lines or hurray for like 10 minutes... then white lines come back.. turn it off, turn it on... don't hear the fan... red light blinks, e-74... :'(

I just got this error a couple of hours ago. My dada called Microsoft and were sending it back in. My xbox should be back with 2-3 weeks once I get the labeling from them so that I can send it in. The exact same thing happened to me while playing Halo 3.
