Time were simple, music was interesting and thoughtful (see this song), TV was created in a way to take your mind off your problems and whish you away somewhere else. I'm thinking of some other lines from other artists like, "I can't cut the ties that bind me to horoscopes and fate" or "If I could break down these walls and shout my name at heaven's gate - I'd take these hands and I'd destroy the dark machineries of fate" that kind of make me feel the same way - like you're walking through two feet of sludge as you go through your days.

I don't think any other artist could ever take one of Bruce Springsteen's songs and even begin to do it justice. I am not against any artists, i believe in "to each their own." I simply believe that his songs are so unique along with his voice and the depth he puts in them that they would not sound right coming from the mouth of another artist.

Classic Springsteen - the artist conveys his message of the morass of the soul-numbing routines of life. I'm thinking of some other lines from other artists like, "I can't cut the ties that bind me to horoscopes and fate" or "If I could break down these walls and shout my name at heaven's gate - I'd take these hands and I'd destroy the dark machineries of fate" that kind of make me feel the same way - like you're walking through two feet of sludge as you go through your days.

I don't think any other artist could ever take one of Bruce Springsteen's songs and even begin to do it justice. I am not against any artists, i believe in "to each their own." I simply believe that his songs are so unique along with his voice and the depth he puts in them that they would not sound right coming from the mouth of another artist.
