When I watch a mechanical strobe as I tune octaves I get visual info on both notes at the same time. The patterns in the concentric rings can go in opposite directions on the mechanical strobe if one note is flat & the other sharp. The virtual strobe does not do this.

Why would it not work on a virtual LCD strobe tuner? You say, must have a mechanical tuner.
