  • I really like this. One of the few not-winning songs from Eurovision that I actually REMEMBER after several years.

  • Probally the only entry throughout the eighties that was representative of that era's music!!Without a doubt the rightful winner over that load of Swedish shit!!

  • I've heard this song several times when I was actually back from USA. Awesome lyrics, Linda delivered an awesome performance!

  • i dont know if many people know this but in 1983[a year before this preformance], ireland didnt enter the eurovision because they couldnt afford it-fact. omg!-if only we knew then what was to come in the 90s regarding ireland winning eurovision three yrs in a row..92-94 and again in 96[not forgetting coming 2nd in 97?? linda gave an amazing performance here and i think its fair to say the song wouldnt have done so well had she not been singing it!

  • @fergusil i had the privilege of meeting johnny logan in 2008 when he performed in my hometown, cork. he is incredible live and he did an amazing version of amazing grace[sorry for pun]totally unaccompanied.

  • ireland deserved more than 7 victories but now we dont want to win too expensive to host

  • Good song but not a patch on Sweden

  • Ever heard of choreography? It's like they've been told if they move they'll be shot! :) I wanted this to win when I was 11 . . .

  • It was ok but not so good like many people say here. Ok everyone have his own taste, but i was happy that Sweden won and not this!!! Italy was so so much better than this for example!

  • should have won..................those Sweedish brothers get on my nerves!!

  • Great song I realy like this Irish entry from 1984 it shood be a winner ......

  • Nice song :D Better than her winning one :P

I actually new only a phew songs from this decade, thanks to the Congratulations show in 2005, which is normal, since I'm 16 xD

And I still think Ireland didn't deserve 7 victories, because they weren't the best in those years.

  • the rightful winner of the eurovision song contest 1984

  • the best song that year had to win for sure i always love the irish songs my favourite singers are johny logan linda martin and niamh kavagh greetings from greece :)

  • Go Johnny Logan!!!

  • Sterk poppy nummer!

  • Strong song indead and a great solid vocal performance from Martin ... but at the time no one could have predicted that Ireland would chaotically win 10 years later 3x in a row creating a feeling of boringness towards the show for a lot of people whereas the songs were getting better and more mature and substancial not just the pop catchy pop of the 80s ... then I would have wanted this one to win this year rathen than the boring golden boots from Sweden.

  • Really like this one
