@SuperDadaist Yeah but it's a tough genre to love, and I'm not that good at the technical bits so.. I dunno. It seems like an arms race to get into, I'd rather stay where it's simple and stupid.
own the record. just getting into renoise. thanks for this video, badass track and have been a fan for a while now. played it out a few times on vinyl and have heard Ron D Core drop it to some pits too. thanks again for the good music!
i had the idea to make a "godspeed you black emperor! track in fruityloops" about 8 years ago, just to hear, and never got around to it... this may be the closest thing i've heard
Hardcore of this quality is a rare thing for me to find. Is there anywhere I can buy or just get a download? I don't wish to pay $60 for the vinyl unfortunately.
Thanks for sharing this with us Sunjammer. It is very encouraging to see that a lot of professionals, such as yourself, use this wonderful program. I love Airports.
I'm coming from a breakcore background myself and I got into breakcore through noise and jungle type stuff, but I've always loved the breakcore that is closer to gabber/hardcore than anything else and I've always been curious about gabber I could actually like. And this was fucking incredible. What are your influences?
Thanks man :) Really wide array of influences. For melodies i like composers like Arvo Pärt or Max Richter, really string driven stuff. Also bands like Godspeed you black emperor, Motorpsycho etc. For the actual 'core of it, it's all Bloody fist records really. I think they just nailed the formula. I like syncopating because it fucks with DJs. Gives me joy ;P
Oh wow thanks for your reply. Yeah, I was mainly curious about the core side of it. I can actually hear some GY!BE in the build up, as far as dynamics go. I'd already heard Nasenbluten at the time of the post, but I've gotten heavily into the UK gabber deal... Teknoist, Bryan Fury, shit like that. The Deathchant standards and stuff like Hardcoholics have started to peak my interest too. I'll get deeper into Bloody Fist, now that you mention it. Cheers. Do you ever perform/tour?
interesting beginning, i like the fragmentation of the main pad, on the drum parts i would have done something slightly different, it seems a little bit too excessive when it builds up completely, but it's definitely good anyway.
Thanks to you for this theme Sunjammer. I have listened to it as thousand times or so, and each new time sounds better than the one before to me. Congrats once more
"I love it when a girl flirts with me and she laughs at a joke that's really not funny and noone else laughs but she does, shows me that she really likes me". Don't ask. It's got personal significance :)
You just gotta stick with it. It's a lot to take in at first but the fundamentals aren't very complex.
I'll be doing some youtube tutorials as soon as i can figure out a good way to get my shitty laptop soundcard to actually record the wave out like it's supposed to
That would be awesome if you could put some tutorials up.
Absolutely love this track by the way. You inspired me to try out Renoise, and so far I think it's very cool, and pretty user-friendly considering it's my first time with trackers.

Yep, no sidechaining. Just working the instrument volume

How did you manage the sidechaining effect back in 1.8? Volume automation?
