Yes they´re the same the diference is tha the w910i is for selling all over the world, the "i" is for international there are also "a" from america an "c" from china

I used master reset so that i could delete all the songs that i put quickly. I thought everything was gonna go back to the way like when i first bought it but the wallpapers that were there were also deleted and so was the demo tour. The wallpapers were awesome. Any way i could get them back? Give a site who gives the same pictures?

Master reset usually kills EVERYTHING on the phone. That's probably why they warn you to make sure you know what you're doing before you do it.

Usually after they're gone they're gone. I don't even have the original stuff anymore. I didn't like them anyway.

How about you tell the customer how the softaware is crap and how it keeps turning itself off because it overheats. I cant believe sony gets away with charging someone so much for one of these and then it doesnt work. Im going back to NOKIA. I had the w910i and everyone i know who has it hates it coz it turns off and restarts itself every now and then. save your money dnt buy sony until they make software that works and is value for money.

I can't do that.

I can only tell sony what part of the file system has bugs and hopefully they iron them out. Because I can iron them out but that's not what i do. I'm a tester. I would change it to make it better but they're not paying me to do so, and in the end i'ts sorta not my problem anyway.

ya thats fair enough.first rule of business i always thought would be if it doesnt work dont put it out for sale because people will lose confidence in it and turntheir backs on rebuying the same brand.sony as a company shouldnt have put a phone that doesnt work out for sale.this is the second sony i had and I wont b burned a 3rd time.phones are too expensive to take a chance and I gave them 2 already.back to nokia for me and every1 else who had a bad experience coz sony didnt do der homework

Yeah I wouldn't pay money for the W910i. But I was handed one and they said "here you can have this... but I expect a report by the end of the week" so I just shrugged and it just got filed into my box of phones I don't care about lol.

More of a fan of W980i. Software is a bit more stable. W910i was one of the newer software platforms so it was the buggy version.

You can use a Sony Ericsson phone stock anymore. You'll have to probably debrand, mod it a few here and there until it's up to your taste before it really works ;)

If you use it out of the box you'll always have problems.

As for the best sony ericsson?? I have no idea. Most of my evaluations are Sony Ericsson phones that people have a hard time buying.

Sony Ericsson SO906i from NTT Docomo was my last Sony Ericsson evaluation. It had a sweet sweet Sony BRAVIA LCD.

I agree. I was only given one for testing and evaluation purposes. No way I would go out and buy one. I hate slider phones to begin with but I still gave the phone good marks on a very neutral standpoint.

W910 is DB3150 classed phone. I've seen other friends with phones that is DB2020 which is way older and I've been able to send them AAC and MP4 music files to their SE phones and they work just fine. So I will assume W910 will support those files because the software revision is newer and the old stuff usually carries over.

Next week when I go to work again, (I test cellular phones for a living) I can grab the w910i again and copy mp4 files to it to see if it works.

Since I use SoftBank 920SH (Japanese mobile) it doesn't support MP3 so I use AAC/MP4 on that phone now.

Nope.  I have every firmware available for nearly every Sony Ericsson phone so I can pick and choose which MAIN and FS to upgrade to. When I first got the phone it probably would lag but I updated to the newest firmware (and made the mistake of making it CID53) (-_-").

The only real difference between the W580i and W910i is that the W910i supports HSDPA/3G using 2100Mhz frequency which is for Europe and Asia.

I've messed with firmware and everything so through the evaluation steps I gave it good remarks. The prototype one I had to evaluate had tons of problems.

I think also add the S500i and W580i has more of the known problems and the W910i seem to not have the same problems even though they carry the same designs.
