You put the treat in your hand, close your hand (ie, make a fist with the treat inside), and encourage puppers to paw at your hand. Then, just say 'yay' and 'good five'. We couldn't get our Rupert to do shake for his class. I asked Peanut's owner how she taught Peanut to do high five, and that's what she told us to do. Worked like a charm. :-)
cool my norfolk can do shake, sit, roll over, jump, high five,lie down,stay, and he could play hide and go seek. very funny lol he finds me all the time. he also knows when you are going to take him out for a walk, you tell him too wait at the door and then you say ok and he runs like the wind. lol he is very cute his name is brownie. I know, silly name. but cute. my Dad found him in the street all wet and he was 3 months old. and we took care of him
I have a Norfolk terrier puppy (called Maisie) and she looks similar to yours, and she can do paw like that.
