  • I remember seeing that commerical when i was a young, NOW i proud to say im a 16 years veteran of that Company!!

  • This ad brings up something I had never really thought about.

  • Honestly, I don't see what's so stupid about this ad. It's just a little old, so it's also a bit corny from out perspective, but back then something like this would be well appreciated.

  • LOL, biggest bunch of $HIT I've heard...4 out of 4 times they have not gotten my 2nd day Air package to me.

NEVER USE UPS for 2nd day air.

  • @jlgoins64 agree. paying for that shit is a rip i bough something on wed payed $28 for next day. didnt end up getting it till monday.... uh the fuck?

  • Haha

  • thats not stupid at all im a drivers helper for ups but im looking to be a pilot for UPS some day and did you know that works on your car as well you wash your car that also reducies wind drag so you learn something new every day stupid no not at all

  • 4 people used fedex and not ups

  • it's good and bad for the environment.

Save jet fuel = less fuel pollution = good

Keep planes clean = more water usage = bad

  • the real stupid thing is not the ad, the ad is great just like the company, but the fact that they wash a 747 which weighs about 350-450 thousand pounds empty. like for example at 0:14 where the guy is right near the wheels.

  • Dat was wasstraat voor vliegtuigen.

  • I bet this guy knows nothing about fuel prices and the laws of motion and how a tiny speck of dust effects something. I bet he works for Fed Ex which there planes are extremely filthy

  • Wow, is that how they really washed their planes??? Damn I had no idea that's how they did it lol

  • @xTomcatsForeverVF84x I doubt it. That looks insanely dangerous.. soap is slippery, and if the aircraft is moving one can slip and be squished to death the next second.

    Just dramatisation..

  • except all those crew members you have to pay and that water and soap you have to pay for. cool bro

  • UPS you gotta teach AIR FRANCE how to clean an aircraft!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WASHING PLANES FTW

  • thye probably spend all the fuel money on soap and instead by red fuel from lidls

  • @minimusix WTF is "lidls", "thye", and "red fuel"?

  • Well, UPS, you can do what you want, but I think you should know it seems somewhat counterproductive to wash your big ass plans "too much" to make them more fuel-efficient and environmentally-friendly when you consider the hundreds and hundreds of gallons of water your wasting... Just a thought. What's wrong with just "washing your planes?" Why does it have to be that you wash them "too much?"

  • @brand0n63 Um.. it's a commercial, people like excess. Back when this commercial aired, the silly environmental movement wasn't even present. And what should UPS do, waste water (which is really quite infinite) or put more gasses into the air. You choose--I choose the latter.

  • @wowdude999 - I agree, better yet recall all the 109 furloughed pilots; must be the only airline in the world that has furloughed pilots despite billions of dollars in profits. Embarrassing. :(

  • i cant imagine scum on the sides causing enough resistance to cost thousands of tons of gas. it seems it would cost more to pay all those men cleanin it and the soap and water and time wasted...

  • there's nothing stupis about it, I agree but they waste time on cleaning which loses them more money.

  • agree, what's so stupid about it? I wish more of the planes I fly were clean.

  • agree, what's so stupid about it?

  • clean...

  • now its all nice and clean. let me get that... damn it, u birds stop pooping on my fucking plane!!!!

  • OCD lol

  • @bobbysam232 LOL!

  • Nice! I probably helped load that plane over the last few years that we ran the 100 & 200 series 747s. Now all the 74's we own are the newer 400 series. In fact I'm looking at a couple of them right now.

  • @RedShiftKYPO working the teamster way :)

  • Hmm, why is that stupid? First of all, it's a VERY old ad (even the logo doesn't exist anymore).

Second of all, we save tons of money on burning less fuel (reduced drag).

    So:

    1) planes look clean,

    2) less money spent on fuel,

    3) better for the environment.

    I think it's smart.

  • @UPSav8or then do what FX is doing and buy some 77F, save even MORE money. ;)

  • At least their not like Air France and Air France Cargo, never wash their planes.

  • How often a plane need to be washed? Is it based on flight hours?

  • I think may be an ex AA bird.

  • funny boeing 747

  • wow a plane wash! lol

  • you can never wash too much lol
