@katiejami Males tend to smell even worse when they come into their rutting times and Females do NOT come out of heat unless bred. The prolonged hormone overload will kill a female, no might it WILL kill them if they remain in heat for any long length of time. Fixing is a must considering 97% of the people that buy them have no idea of these problems and the problems their pregnancy can face.

we got two new ferrets recently. they are younger than they are supposed to be when they are sold, but their mum died so the breeder can't properly take care of them all and had to sell them a few weeks earlier.

@nooks551 i have 3 ferrets and a rabbit. The first time I put them together, the ferrets were sneaky and slow. All they did was smell him but my bunny didn't give them a chance to do anything else before he tried to rip their heads off. I think he was scared of them, my bunny has played with the sweet dog downstairs but he HATES the ferrets. You'd be really upset if one hurt the other, and the only time my rabbit ever drew my blood is when I grabbed him before he could hurt my other pets.

@nooks551 I wouldn't recommend it, but I had a ferret and a rabbit (a large one) that would play together OUTSIDE of their pens. My ferret would bite her scruff or her ears and the rabbit would run around after the ferret. I think she was just too big for my ferret or my ferret wasn't really trying to hurt her. But they were fine together. I wouldn't cage them together thought. Buy a ferret cage designed for ferrets. And if you want the rabbits and ferrets playing together, supervise!

@superpenguin716 Don't ridicule him. Most people don't know that ferrets eat rabbits since the size is relatively similar. Carnivores tend to eat prey thats smaller than them, not bigger. And if he/she put the ferret in the cage with a rabbit and they were both at a young age, they could get along quite well. Like a dog and a cat that have been around each other for years.
