  • hehe. thanks to our chorus teacher, i now know about this song!

  • I think he's in puberty

  • 2:57

  • Wow...I don't think the power of a soundproof room can even contain this, XD

  • Oh Gory Night.

  • This guy's got talent (like if ur jealous!)

  • Internet, I introduce you to Rebecca Black's father.

  • I believe you are hurting your voice. Lmao.

  • @qpstrafe I'm more concerned with his voice hurting the equipment lol.

  • up until 1:13 i was like... this isn't as bad as i thought it was gonna be.

  • Definitely Christina Aguilera.

  • Holy cow. You know that saying "My ears are bleeding"? I never really thought it was possible, until now.

  • Does this guy even speak english?

  • 2:12 he sounds like he's getting his nuts twisted

  • ...the fuck?

  • It gets good at 2:13 guys!

  • I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

  • This is the best christmas song ever.

  • Of our deaaarraararrr saviors birth lol !!!!

  • NO! BAD CONFUSED BONER! GET DOWN!

  • Quick! Shoot it and put it out of its' misery!!

  • LOL i absolutely lost it at 2:57

  • who is here bcuz of Jhonen Vasquez!?

  • @MindlessGirManiac MEEE!!! I stalk his tumblr.

  • @TheSurfaceofTheMoon ME 2!!!!!! XDD

  • Oh my god.

  • I thought it was pretty good.

  • I hope that he recorded this deep, deep in the forest.

  • I enjoyed that quote! Thank you. And for the record, I don't entirely rule out celestial influence when it comes to mankind. I just really can't stand modern, organized religion. How can these people be so closed-minded about something so infinite?

  • @tisdue To me, it all depends on what modern, organized religion you are talking about. I speak directly to God, and he speaks to me in thought and inspiration. (Not in an audible voice) I attend Christ Church in Nashville Tennessee and pastor Dan Scott certainly understands celestial influence and mankind. I just posted O Holy Night the way it was originally meant. If you get a chance, type in Christ Church 1995 and watch Guy Penrod sing this arrangement at my church. Have a merry Christmas.

  • @tisdue Because opening their minds to new ideas, causes them physical pain in their heads.

  • @tisdue I can't disagree that there is a lot about many in modern religion that bothers me, especially television religion. But both of me grandfathers were preachers, and I know how sincere they were in helping people. When my grandfather, F. L. Muller died, I got one of his bibles that had some of his favorite sayings in it. One said this, "Some people become so open-minded that they can't retain a moral thought." Teaching in an university, I know such people, but I don't want to be one.

  • Ok.....NOW I'm in the spirit of the holidays! I usually hate all X-mas music but this has just brought me tears of joy.

  • @lonebison Then my efforts are well worth it. It brings me great joy to hear that my whacky song brings laughter to people in a world that needs a whole lot more laughter than hate. Have a very merry Christmas.

  • LOL, just keep pressing 8

  • Why don't you people argue about this after you're dead? Then you'll know who's right. Now shut up and let me listen to the beautiful music.

  • Is this American Idol?

  • @pipsqueakNZ No it is not, but I would love to have a picture of Simon hearing this song for the first time. Anything he could possibly say...I deserve. Have a very merry Christmas.

  • The guy is FEELING it!

  • This dubstep is terrible.

  • @pianod00d Some people just plain don't care for this whacky parody and I understand. This year I took a performance of the real version, transferred it to digital video and posted it for people who want to hear the real arrangement. I hope you will give that a listen. Just type Christ Church 1995. Guy Penrod, the man I was parodying is singing in a red coat. Landy Gardner is directing choir, and I am directing the orchestra. It was a crowd pleaser every year. Enjoy and have a merry Christmas.

  • Wow! Steve Mauldin is my hero.

  • The spoken word line at the end and the breath in the final note, brilliant. You could tell he was going for something special, he really wanted to make a fantastic version. I know the feeling, I love this song and if I was able to sing just one song well (instead of zero) this would be the song. And yeah I could see thinking, it can't be that bad, I love the song I have practiced, I might not be that bad, maybe God will smile on me and let me sing well. But I would listen to it. Once.

  • @kevinskogg What you can't see with the audio is the face of my engineer, Kevin McManus. I could see him through the control room glass and he was laughing. I think that is what gave me the guts to go for the high part, he was laughing so hard. Some people have had trouble hearing that last spoken line, "It was deevine, that night." My favorite part is the breath in the middle of the last note. I really did run out of air, I'm short winded, So I took a breath and came back in. Merry Christmas.

  • @steve082154 This had an engineer? Don't let him drive the train.

  • is it a dying groundhog? I have heard one before, he makes a wonderful impression

  • Who else has a boner?

  • @qrstvids

Thank you for typing what I lacked the courage to. It's a lot easier on me when I merely have to click a thumbs up icon :)

  • This song is kinda growing on me.....

  • omg this is so funny i love this

  • Comment removed

  • I like the crap out of this

  • Oh my........ o_O if I woke up during a triple bypass, i imagine my scream would sound something like this...

  • Hallelujah.

  • I got a six-pack from laughing so hard, lol!

  • OH, MY GOD! What a SCREAM!

  • lol im worse

  • LOL 2:16

  • i would love to give a copy of this to my neighbor, i like them so much....lol encore encore

  • Sounds like a cat going through a wood chipper

  • uuuuuummmm OK

  • That is quality!

  • Sometimes, a laugh feels so ground-shaking, it's like your body is trying to cleanse itself of a poison that has been introduced into your system. When you can not breathe or see, you are forced to experience a thing in a completely new way. That is what this song is about.

  • @ACustomConcern I never dreamed this song would get out and people would find it so funny. My wife was the first to hear if after Kevin and I recorded it, and she said, "That's not even funny." It's only funny if it makes you laugh. Tool Time with Tim Allen made me laugh, Sienfield never made me laugh. There is nothing wrong with people who don't think my song is funny, it's just not funny to them. Others say they play it over and over and laugh. I hope you have a very merry, laughing Christmas

  • A true Christmas classic at our house :-D It just never gets old LOL!

  • I've found my new alarm! I'll get out of bed before he even sings!

  • i want to sing like this at a talent show

  • @branflakes0305 - Funny enough, I found this video through a decently known Christian singer who said it's his favourite version of this song, he finds it so funny. I'm a Christian too, I DO see your point, I thought it was funny till I read your comments. Its still pretty funny in the fact its so bad but I see your point. As I get older I see how people are putting such a twist on Christmas, "ho ho ho! go go go!" when telling people to dash to their store for gifts.. But it's good to have humor

  • How dare he mock the birth of our lord like this. I am HIGHLY appalled at how this supposed "christian" can run our lords good name through the mud like this. Super dislike.

  • @branflakes0305 Can't tell if serious...

  • @absolutsyd This is no laughing matter absolutsyd. As an independent, fundamental, born again, Christ loving man, I find this this singers utter lack of respect for the holiest of holys to be both shocking and offensive. If god is in your heart you would understand.

  • @branflakes0305 As a fundamental, born again, Christ loving man I can assure you that God has commissioned me to "lift the spirits of men on earth." I can assure you, God created humor as much as he created the earth. This was not meant for public release, I did not send it out, we were just letting off steam after a very long day. If you type Christ Church 1995 I address this issue and you can hear the song the way it was meant to be heard by Guy Penrod.

  • @branflakes0305 How dare you lay judgement on a child of God? Do you think yourself equal to or better than Jesus or God?

I'm an atheist, so I really don't give a fuck, but I'm pretty sure you'll burn in purgatory for that hypocrisy. Merry Christmas.

  • @Qaoz That's a first, an atheist who is offended on behalf of God. If you will type in Christ Church 1995, there is a very short lead into Guy Penrod singing this arrangement the way I wrote it and the way he sang it on the recording. It think it explains everything and Guy's vocal is awesome. I do not swear in any form, not even the most mild words, and I block any foul language on my own posts. God knows my heart, He and I are on good terms. Have a merry Christmas

  • @steve082154 Hopefully you don't think I was replying to you, because I have nothing but respect and admiration for your performance of this song. It's brought many a tear of laughter to my eye.

I just saw that branflakes guy on a religious tantrum over your song and felt like I had to point out the glaring hypocrisy in his comments. It was meant as sarcasm, though, due to my nationality and our take on sarcasm, that may not have been clear.

  • @Qaoz No offense taken. The song is what it is. No planned distribution, no pre-thought before I sang it. Two studio veterans were goofing off one night and recorded a song that magically got released to the world. I think God was pulling a little joke of his own. Have a very merry Christmas.

  • @steve082154 Could be. :) Thanks for the song and merry Christmas.

  • I actually like 3:06 best

  • O_______o

  • How can anyone hear the angels' voices over this? XD

  • mockery? you crazy.

  • This is not funny. It is plain stupid and a mockery to the Birth of the Lord.I can understand a joke but this is way to far out there. This is one of the most beautiful songs written and I wish I could sing it myself. But I can't.Don't even write me back.We all have an opinion. This is mine.

  • @mamy101 Well allow me to share my opinion. You called this a mockery of the Birth of the Lord, but this is actually real and this guy is a Christian. So basically what you are saying is that only angelic voices can sing to the Lord. I thought that Christians werent suppose to cast judgement? Youre kind of whats wrong with the Church today.....Just an opinion

  • @InLikeFlint3 This is obviously not someone trying there best to please the lord. We all have are talents and god as a special place for each of his children, but this is not what god had in mind for this man and for him to intentionally butcher this song is a travesty, and that's not just an opinion that's fact

  • @branflakes0305 I respectfully disagree. Had the last song of our long recording process been White Christmas, I would have sang White Christmas. We gave no thought to this recording, it was a spur of the moment decision. I DID NOT RELEASE THIS SONG TO THE PUBLIC. If you will type in Christ Church 1995, you can see the song performed by Guy Penrod with me conducting orchestra, the way it was meant and the way it has blessed thousands of people and continues to do so. I address this issue.

  • @branflakes0305 For someone who said theyre not going to respond you have taken on a LOT of responses. Who are you to say that he wasnt trying. Youre a judmental person who claims to be a Christian.

  • @branflakes0305 Religious people are so stupid. Just die already so the rest of the world can evolve to a higher understanding. Science is closer to understanding God than you are. You are a narrowminded, scared little sheep. Soon there will be no place for your archaic beliefs. Merry Christmas.

  • @branflakes0305 why did you say Merry Christmas. That in itself is saying I'm celebrating Christ's birth.

  • @poohbear3043 Right.. it was meant in a mean-spirited sense of irony.

  • @tisdue "Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind"-Albert Einstein. Merry christmas.

  • I piss myself laughing every time I listen to this.

  • Not at all as funny as the 'shreds' videos... This one's trying too hard to be funny

  • sounds like Jeff Mangum

  • im using headphones in computer tech

  • This is possibly the best thing I have ever heard in my entire existence.

  • oh I think I've heard this guy before... it's Lil Wayne.

  • Why the hell have i been re-listening to this 5 times and im not deaf yet O_O

  • How anyone could listen to this and not just die laughing is beyond me. It still cracks me up, same as it did years ago when I first heard it. Just too funny.

  • On my knees...

  • @LarryKiarry so true

  • It's too horrible to laugh at. Awful.

  • We listened to this in music class after recently singing "O Holy Night" ourselves. I told myself it was mean to laugh at someone trying to sing, but i couldn't help myself and ended up getting a stomach ache from laughing so hard....

  • BILLL NIIIGHY DIVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE!

  • When Christ was BAWWWRRRRNNNN!!

  • Very Stupid! HAHAHA

  • This resembles that Christmas ornament that goes on top of the tree. Beautiful.

  • I'm very upset that nowhere on the internet can I find the original video for this song. Two years ago it was online, and featured the singer who was wearing a sparkly silver suit singing this song. It was amazing. Where did it go????????????????

  • @darkflame427 That wasn't the real singer. It was a guy mouthing to this recording, intentionally looking like an idiot. You can see the guy who actually recorded it by searching for Steve Mauldin.

  • lol it does sound adam sandler singing in a funny voice lol and being tortured lol

  • I googled the story... still don't see how this is funny or "genius." Just stupid and irritating.

  • At around 2:40, I'm pretty sure that's Adam Sandler being tortured

  • Comment removed

  • wow... this is really... special

  • @ 3:14 "you know it was...DEEVINE" this has become a song i must have played at the beginning and end of every Christmas party til the day i die!

  • oh man thats almost as bad as "Ode to a small green lump of putty I found in my armpit one midsummers morning"

  • "Oh niggggght diVINE!!!!!!!!!!!"""

  • Lmao!!

    ''A Thrihihihill of hope'' hahahaha

What key was this even sung in? hahaha

  • this song sound outlawing,we listened to this in school omg every one was maken up jokes and laughing out loud so hard.

  • brett elston liked.

  • LMAO, this is great! ... still laughing...

  • Sounds no worse than your average pop star when they are deprived of their auto-tune.

  • My dogs just went off! LOL

  • Ive heard worse on American Idol!!

  • I think singing the song this way is the equivalent of grinding your vocal cords against a cheese grater. BUT IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL.

  • day. made.

  • 2:56 nailed it

  • Oh holy crap

  • Almost as funny as John Daker

  • i'm so glad youtube thinks that this is "Confiding in a Whisper" by "Hand to Hand"....youtube fail.

  • We listened to this in my college music theory class. :)

  • @tm64x9 I had a voice teacher who sent this out to all his students as an end of semester joke - he said to listen to it and study as an example of "impeccable vocal technique"

  • It sounds like a coyote in a trash compacter :)

  • The first time I heard this song, I was in no mood to laugh.

Needless to say about half way through the song I was laughing so hard that I was shedding tears.

  • SO GLAD I FOUND THIS!!!! So, my choir teacher from high school shared this with us and HOLY CRAP were we gagging on how bad this was. The first time around, it was horrid to us musically inclined. Second time around?? It was hysterical!!! I love that i found it!!!

  • 118 people have no sense of humor and shouldn't be trusted with anything or anyone... they have my pity

  • can this be counted as blasphemy? LOL

  • nailed it.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA........

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA...

    ow

  • Shatner step aside

  • I tried so hard not to laugh at 2:57, but I just couldn't do it.

  • Unholy night.

  • 2:57.. nearly pissed myself. lmao!

  • I love this video because every I remember it around christmas time, and every year I die of laughter.

  • inspirational

  • LOLLL

  • this is now my favorite video til further notice, i laughed so hard i peed myself :P

  • Damn! That's all I can say about this.

  • I m your Fan....Crap!!!! Who the Hell Forced U to sing that song???

  • This is excellent to listen to if you're having a bad day. I love it

  • @GravesGurrrl I'm having one right now... but the laughter tears are coming

  • after not hearing this for years i randomly decided to rewatch it.... i am thoroughly re-satisfied with this listen hahaha

  • one hundred and twelve people do not see the apparent humor in this.

  • @joshualesley They played this on my Christian radio station several years ago, and got many calls of people being offended, apparently thinking it sacreligious. As a Christian myself, and being made in the image of God, I do believe He has a sense of humor. The true, original singer of this was a recorder or something for the Gaither's, and the song is 20 or so years old.

I've made it my Christmas tradition to share this song every year. And I don't have any other traditions! lol

  • R.I.P Headphone users...

  • Oh boy That was a treat!!

  • Still better than Justin Bieber...

  • @LarryKiarry so true...

  • @LarryKiarry this is bieber not auto tuned.

  • We religiously laugh at this song every year. Classic! LOL

  • So, I was sitting in choir class and my choir teacher turned it on and we all didn't wanna laugh cause we thought we'd get in trouble and we looked over and he's cracking up!! All of a sudden, BOOOOOOOMING Laughterr!! :D BEST CHOIR CLASS EVER!!!! <3(:

Bahahahah! I LOVE THE HIGH NOTES!(:

  • this is fantastic!! i need more of his music NOW :)

  • its so beautiful :,)

  • ...my ears are bleeding now...TT^TT

  • this literally just made me cry!! .............from laughing!!!

  • where can i get this cd???!!!!!!!!!! lol

  • So I'm confused. Did he intentionally sing it terribly, or does he just suck ass?

  • @Supermassively It was intentional. if I can find the man who did it, I'll send you the video. But this was completely intentional. He wrote a serious arrangement for the song, then felt like screwing around one night...and this was the magical result ^^

  • @Supermassively actually, here it is watch?v=LiAuyM3gB5U& Wasn't hard to find. Go figure, it's on youtube now. You can tell, actually, by listening to it, that the guy at least has a decent ear. He's generally in tune (terrible tone, but the notes are mostly correct). Someone who just can't sing wouldn't be able to do that nearly as well.

  • @Vexli I don't see any videos of him actually singing well. I guess the answer is that he actually sucks. Having a good ear is pointless for singing if your voice is worse than terrible.

  • What The Who The fuck Will Love This Song My Ears !!!!!

  • AHAHAHAHA WHAT THE WALT THIS IS HILARIOUS

  • JAJAJAJAJAJAJ XD

  • I laughed myself to death and was ressurected tone deaf and completely ignorant, let the flaeing and trolling begin for the Caveman

  • 2:56 MY WINDOWS NEARLY SHATTERED

  • Who attempts to sound sexy singing O Holy Night? It is tacky AND BAD!

  • his vocals was amazing! lol
