Funny guys here, there are tons of freeware sdks and compilers. Microsofts Express Editions are enouth to code anything. Some features that arent realy needed are missing like remote debugging. Java is maybe fr us private free but its not a secret that google pays to oracle for java. Oracle will kill java better to learn every language instead of only one.

And while I'm assuming you are referring to Visual Studio rather than the languages themselves, I think you might want to have a look at the Express editions.

@llanesyasmani Actually, 3 out of 4 of the ones you mentioned are free. C# tools are not free, but tools for the other languages are. Just get a Mac and download your tools for Objective-C programming, or get GCC for Linux/Mac/Windows for free.

If you really want to be super free, go make your own compiler for C/C++ languages. You see, C & C++ are just standards. Everybody is free to create implementations as they feel the need.

Nowadays neither the Java Bytecode is cross compatible.

Take a look to the JavaBeloved "Eclipse"(but it's just an example).

In order to make it faster, his "Bytecode" is linked to the OS specific Native Libraries so, you need a specific OS related Build in order to make it run on your own platform.I'm not seeing that Java scks.

I'm just complaining that in the last 10+ years everyone tried to adapt it to purposes for which it was not designed instead of choosing better alternatives.
