  • All you Dish employees can go eat goat balls. My problem with Dish is the over charges on my CC and is allways some piece of shit Haji trying to justify over charges and making false promise of correcting the matter.

  • working for dish network, i have to say, 99 percent of our customers are full of shit! they lie about everything blame us for their own problems and don't pay their bills. you want to know what, youre missing channels because you dont pay your bill. rain will effect your signal, and i honestly dont give a fuck about how your day is going. the thing that pisses me off about customers in general, we give you a contract...its not our responsibility to read the fucking thing to you.

  • @55startrek, the reason your bill went up is because when the contracts for some of the channels dish network pays to have re negotiate they sometimes ask for alot more than what they usually do.. for example fox's re negotiation went from about 8 million to 19 million dollars. in the interest of the customers dish will pay that amount to continue to carry the channel, however in the inteerest of the company they must ask for more to maintain the channel. The basic rules of supply and demand.

The website on the video, seems to be a RETAILER website, I'm not expecting for you to know what a retailer is if you didn't have the intelligence to read the contract. READ the damn contract THEN sign, anything that is not on your contract will not be VALID.   • Glad I found this video. Dish screwed us out of money and told a blatant lie when I had the Dish started for my disabled brother. He wasn't able to use it due to illness and he had to move. They told me a disconnect with NO FEES or PENALTIES would not be a problem. They lied and extorted money from us. Shame on them

    that you can watch two tvs on the dish netrwork installer came to my house and told me dish network wouldnt work because there were too many trees a couple of weeks later dish network charged 29 dollars on my debit card for an installation fee when i called to complain they told me they bill that to everyone whether it works or not and i didnt get my money back so i will never get dish network even if i move

  • Also a we called the cops on a dish "installer," that pulled up with no representation of the company. He got arrested for not being licensed and false identification. He didn't even work for the company but somehow he knew we ordered. He knew our info.

  • Dish makes offers on their web site and TV for fixed terms (one or two years). However, once you sign up, they will raise the price. Dish says they can ignore what is on their web site or TV because the contract says they can raise the price at any time. Actually their prices aren't lower than Direct TV and Cable: Dish just says they are lower in their advertising and changes the price on the bill. The Attorney General needs to go after these scam artists.

  • I also work in the customer service industry But, I will say this about Dish Network. When i signed up with them, nothing was the same as when they came to install it. The price was $400 more because we had to buy the equipment. The package price was more expensive. My contract with them just ended and I just ended my service.

    I was told on the phone that I could get Uverse with no charge to a phone line. It would be a deal. Yet, every month, they tried to charge me for the phone line. Every month i had to call them and get them to credit me for the phone line. Every month. Forget them. I cancelled.

They offered me free local channels-can't get them where Im at, but because of that, I have to pay 49.99 in order to get a special 'box' that enables me to do so-and they said they would waive the 49.99-LIE! Im also suppose to get a 50$ discount because someone I knew had Dish and its been 5 months-LIE

    I call and they're rude and send me to their cancellation department every time I call.Theyre the devil of cable providers!

  • Comcast has no contracts as they do not need them. They know once someone goes to Dish Network, they will definitely come back anyways. I pd a hefty cancellation fee to get away from Dish. When u lose signal, they will send a tech @ $95. U R responsible for shipping the receivers back @ $15 each plus tax. When U work for a crooked company, U can expect to take tons of calls from disgruntled customers. They won't take the satellites back. They C it as free advertising. You will C it at dump !!!

  • Tech issue= will charge U $95 to send tech if u r out of warranty when it 's their problem . U R responsible for upkeep of equipment.

    If U purchase ins., it is only $15 when out of warranty.

    U R not buying here folks, U R leasing, OK

    Canceled contract = 6 months @ $60

    Return receivers= UPS @ $15 per receiver plus tax

    To drop equipment off @ nearest location, we were told it w/b in CO

    Their tech drove from CO to install Dish here in WA State !!!

  • I canceled my account one year ago, today I found out they charged me for a full year... when I called them.. they admitted it was canceled but wouldn't refund my money... Dish Network is a joke...

  • Dish is crap. it really is. I've had to send back my receiver twice. the DAMN thing WON'T RECORD!!! It just says "unplug it and wait 1 minute." (which i've done several times!)

    I sent my first one back then got a new one,and oh and behold! the second one broke two months later! I'm seriously considering getting cable.

    My neighbors' receivers quit recording too. They might be looking at a mass recall.

  • I bought 2 Dishnet receivers form a dealer, i have disconnected with them and opened a new account and sold the 2 receivers i own, the person i sold them to turned out to be a cop,and said that the receivers were stolen equipment, Now dishnet wants me to pay them for the equipment and wants me to go to jail and disconect my other dishnet services, i hate dishnet!

You do not get free HD, you do not get local channels free, you do not get free visitation to re-aim your sattellite, that runs about $90.00 a visit after your first 30 days are up. Once they got you locked into the contract they are just like any other service provider....

  • As a dish network customer, I can confirm a similiar situation. Even if you do sign up through a retailer or private sales firm. Dish network establishes and approves all contracts / deals offered through the retailer, its called Ye Olde Bait and Switch. By pawning off the blame to the retailers and paying a hefty commishions to the retailer for the sale, they have free rights to a 2 year contract which entitles them to RIP you off the entire time.

  • ok so my friend was behind his payment for 2 months. he told dish to put a hold on his account until he could make the payments, they told him that they wont charge him or offer any service until he pays so he was fine with it.   • @meeralauren he told them he was going to keep the service, and that he was going to make the payment by friday. well when that friday came. dish took the money for the equipment out of his account and he called asking @#%^@# happen how the front door is he been charge for equipment if he is keeping the service, and he was told if he wants to he could make the bill and keep the service and his money would be returned well. he payed and dish said we cant return the money so we will just credit it

  • I have an easy way to get out of Dish Network early $300 cancellation fee..Cancel your bank account that you set up service with Dish with and then call to cancel...You can't debit an account that does not exist..

    Also note that you can dispute a bill until kingdom come, which is what I plan on doing...Dish is a scam company that deserves to be sued.

  • DUDE... I just hooked up with Dish about 3 weeks ago. I DID NOT USE SOME SECOND PARTY RETAILER! I searched their site for trial periods and found nothing!!! I read the 24 month contract by DN before I ordered... nothing about a trial period. However when I called DirecTV to disconnect, they are the ones who LIED and told me that I could still cancel DN without future charges as the girl pleaded with me to stay with DTV. READ THE CONTRACTS, DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST and QUIT TRUSTING IN STRANGERS!

  • I ordered directly through dish as well and was told i had 30 days to cancel with in 3 days i realized what a POS my dvrs were and that my SO CALLED HD channels didn't look any better then my SD channels also alot of channels i was told i had I didn't have all they could say was there was no 30 day trial. Oh did i mention to this date 4 months after getting it my main reciver still doesn't work and my bill is about 40$'s more then what i was told it would be.

  • I work for the largest Dish Network retailer and i know that ALL retailers legally must read or play a pre-recorded msg of the complete terms and conditions for your order and service. maybe half the customers ever listen. the smart ones do and they will ask the questions to protect their best intrests! it happens with Direct, Time Warner, Comcast, Cox, ALL OF THEM!!! not just Dish Network! i deal with it everyday.

  • I had the exact same problem with them, the difference is that they offered me a 2 weeks trial, and that, if I didn't like it, I could cancel with no extra charge, I cancelled 5 minutes after they installed the service, cause they have the worst programming ever, now they want me to pay $305 dollars, this guys are full of shit!!!!!!! They have the worst costumer service!!!!! I rather keep COMCAST, where they have always been nice to me, and give you the best service!!!! FUCK DISH!!!!

  • As a former dish employee I loved the company, the agents really cared about the customers, I had to leave for school and I got fed up with some of these customers they are the worst type of people I ever had the misfortune of talking to this goes for the majority of the people I've talked to and im happy I never need to put up with them anymore thank god. to all the current dishnetwork agents hang in there I know most the customers are assholes =) find a better job we aint there parents.

If you cared so much about the customers "who paid your bills" for whatever amount of time you were with the company you wouldn't be calling them assholes now. Customer service is not for everyone, maybe it's a blessing that you're not in it.

Uninformative and I got three different price quote and a refusal to have someone call me. Waitresses get belittled everyday..it's something that comes with the job. Those are the ppl who you should treat with indifference. I am anything but one sided on the issue. Check the definition of that!

  • Have any of the Dish customers had a $19.23 charge to their credit card for E-CLUB MEMBER SERVICES 877-313-2582 NJ? This is supposedly a dish warrenty service I agreed to, I never buy warrenties for anything. I called them back in Apr and the company said they would cancel it. I canceled my dish back in May and I am still getting billed for this warrenty service for something I do not have. Dish is a scam.

I HAVE SATELLITE AND I CANT GET OUT OF THE CONTRACT EVEN though it has been bast 30 days every time i watch tv it freezez every 5 minutes how can they keep selling this business to people then they send out immigrants that dont know squat to fix the problem or they tell you to cut down some trees they are crap i wont die till dish network is dust fu** dish network i hate them so much every night my tv freezez every 5 minutes

    There was no misunderstanding.

    Their sales agents induce purchase by fraud and then Dish tells customers they aren't responsible for what their sales agents or contractors say or do, ridiculous

    An excellent example of how Dish treats people are some of the really ugly comments by Dish or agent employees on this site about customers.

    I kept my internet since I was a new customer and it cost me 41.02 that's with the cable modem from Charter. The modem was only 1.02 a month

    They came back to the house and disconnect the wires because I didn't pay my late fee on time.

    Oh well... I can just use my aunt's connection two houses down lol.. I'm at my sister's house typing this though.

  • I have Dish Network.. and I made it very clear to them I wanted to CONTRACT...... I bought my own RECEIVER on ebay... I called DISH and they sent me my card and that's it.. I can cancel any time.

    The best thing is to never get in contracts.

  • I have Dish Network in Northern/Central California. I have to agree, after having Cox Cable in San Diego, Dish Network has the worst service I have ever had. I have been fighting with them for over a year about having slow internet service and a box that keeps cutting out. Box has been replaced (3 times until one worked right), but the high speed internet service will cost me to have someone come out and take a look. Spending $125 per month for service, you can bet I'm leaving them.

    DISH does do this they make you believe they have a grace period. I called 2 days after I got service canceld next thing I know a 300 dollar bill comes. They were running around until I got a ETHICAL person who agreed 300$ for the service was way to much and I shouldn't have to pay the ETF so I just ended up paying about 3 dollars. DISH NETWORK SUCKS anyone who says otherwise works for them

    You probably ordered through a "retailer" or a "sales partner" NOT Dish Network directly. Your argument is like if you called Sony because the sales rep in Walmart lied to you about a TVs specs. It is asinine.

    What you're doing with this video is irresponsible - AT BEST - by trying to harm a service provider's reputation you end up affecting hundreds of thousands of jobs that are reliant on this industry (retailers, techs, etc). Think again

  • I have had dish network for many years and they have been great. Very, very few outages great reception and works fine with my replay tv. I recommended it to my family and friends and still do.

  • im in the billing department i hate dish ok. we all know dish customers dont like their service. its not the agents that are lying. we say what we are required to tell you. i personally would never get dish i have twc lol and i love them. but us agents have families to provide for. and in my town working for dish is the only good paying job in my area. so dont blame the agents or the retailers BLAME DISH.

  • I was quoted 29.99/mo with no contract by Dishnet - Dish Network. They sent billing for $49/mo, $99/mo, and later $214 for a totally-fabricated contract. I cancelled their service after about 9 days because of hasseling over charges and very rude customer service.

    I can't figure out how Dish Network can stay in bussiness with such brazen disregard to law and ethics. It woud be good if a government agency could discover and punish the perpetrators.

They are the type of company that will ruin this country! They are going in and taking money out of peoples account with out authorization and if there is not a class action or the better business does not step in all the companies will be doing this before long.   • I happen to be a billing supervisor for dish and it amazes me the amount of people that sign a contract without ever reading it or making themselves familiar with the terms of thier agreement. If you would read any dha 24 month contract it when you sign it you authorize dish to collect for any equipment or early termination fees if your acct is cancelled for non payment prior to completing your 24 months.

  • Yep I read my 2 year contract just fine. I started out with Dish in 2006 with a 625, moved from Ohio to California using Dish Mover in 2008 and then upgraded to a free Vip 722 in 2009 ... yeah I know i'm under contract until 2011 but honestly I have never had many problems with Dish Network and only had to call Customer Service five times in three years.

  • I have had Dish for over 6 years. The service I receive is great; however, I do agree that the customer service agents could be trained a little better. Every time I call Dish CS I get a different answer to my question. I have started recording the phone calls so that I can replay if needed.

    BTW, if your name is on the phone bill, you can record any phone call from YOUR house and YOUR phone. You do not have to tell other ppl in the house that you are recording the calls.
