supercross is pretty much about technique where motocross is about letting it all hang out. there's no one close to james when it comes to supercross because he has better technique than villopoto. Villopoto might have something for james in the motocross season because he seems to be WAY more comfortable.  but we'll never know because bubba's only racing supercross and a couple motocross events.
