  • i think i found a mistake. 0:13 - 0:15 he plays a chord out of tune

  • Maksim is ten times better than this.

  • Well, the right hand looks like he is hammering and the left hand looks like moving on the piano without pattern. It looks pretty awkward as I described, but the harmony and melody is fulfilled at the same time and his pedalling added more beutifulness.

  • I love the song!!!!

  • what a noob

  • I think we should listen to the whole piece like music...not count the mistakes. That's his job.

  • he looks like he's good at chess

  • Dumazid....BEEEEAAAAMM!

  • Now play the left hand in octaves.

  • @OriginalBasaliskos it's neither liszt nor dreyschock at the piano... not that i deride bunin.. but gods are different from humans!!

  • I am just fascinated ... :-)

  • Absolutely amazing !

  • why is youtube only couting my views?

  • @Nvirehk youre such a hoe. You listen to mistakes -.-

  • Mistake at 1.48 :p

  • @Nvirehk

the only mistake is you commenting on this video

  • @thedirtymeatball the second is your attitude ;)

  • @Nvirehk

lol i was joking. isnt bunin just ur favorite pianits???

  • @thedirtymeatball hadn't heard of him, but i just finished learning the piece and am like : - o jaw-on-the-floor at this guy. tbh the pedal control gets me more than the left hand because it's way too easy for the notes to turn into mush as a substitute for not having enough control.

  • @Nvirehk

omg you havent heard of him? you NEED to watch his heroic polonaise it will blow your mind, his scherzo no.4 is also the best ive heard

  • @Nvirehk agreed. u need sleight of foot more than sleight of hand for this one

  • Oh i could play this song! But not fast at all... just very slowwly :P

  • Sheer brilliance. Genius level piano playing. Bravo!

  • I wud epicly fail at this song because of the left hand ._.

  • I could play this song, but my left hand could never be as even or controlled as his...... :/

  • its like he's nodding off and jerks back up every time he hits a high note

  • Anybody hear the mistake in the left hand on 00:14??

  • @Jumbomuffinjr yeah... everyone... so? what's the problem?

  • proud Polish heritage!!!

  • simplemente GENIAL!!!!!!!!!!

  • How does one come up with a composition like this? I mean wow, what a genius Chopin was!

  • Wow this is amazing. I also heard the last time he tickled a girl, she died.

  • @ItsHiddenMoon hahaha good one :P

  • was this that big Chopin competition he won in '85?

  • theres a big problem with this video............ it ends

  • IT'S

    TOO

    SHORT

  • What's on his mind?

  • excellent!!!!

  • very good...

  • My left hand wants to cry after playing this a few times.

  • I always thought this one should be called "winter wind", those base notes sound like pressing against a tough snowy storm, at sea, or something.

  • @Phavonic Interesting thought. I think I agree with you, if only it was played with a slightly different feel from this.

  • Is this a woman or a man? o.o

  • dat left hand

  • Chopin was amazing. I just got done with my music appreciation class, and every time they would play Chopin i would just be stunned.

  • this is insane

  • that speed is DEFINITELY revolutionary

  • This is the best version of Revolutionary Etude on YouTube in my opinion. The piece should be performed with intense passion and Bunin did exactly that.

  • This is probably the angriest Chopin etude , just full of despair and looks extremely difficult relative to other Chopin pieces

  • @rafaelb1026

note-wise it isn't the hardest Chopin piece, but it's just the tempo that makes it a killer.....reeeaaalllyyyyy hard to play at full tempo

  • Comments = When pop fans meet classical.

  • Has anyone made a Harry Potter lookalike joke yet?

  • by listening to this part I imagine revolt, proudness, determination, hope

  • oomg,he plays this music with a lot of perfection,he is amazing oh yeah

  • This is my favorite version on youtube.

  • Wow!!! This and Murray Perahia's interpretations are my two favorite!!

  • When he digs that left hand down in to the lower keys, it gets me going. An amazing piece, and an incredible rendition of this song!

  • The fires of revolution lit upon the keys of the piano by the fingers of the great performer.

  • this vid is as old as my dead grand pa

  • I know a seventh grader who can play this, but nowhere near this level of performance.

  • hes on drugs????!!!!!

  • still...hard enough as is. I liked it.

  • A lot of missed notes on easy spots :(

  • @fabianbor Do you know any good asian composer? Like Beethoven, Chopin, Bach, Liszt, Mozart, Tchaikovsky?

  • @BalladeNumber1Opus23 Sorry, it was one of my friends who wrote it

  • @fabianbor Tell 'em I'm gonna find them.

  • Well performed. But in my personal opinion, Evgenij Kissin is just born to play this piece with his unbelievable technical skills, and his slightly insane temperament. When he plays, it seems that sparks and fire will soon start coming out of the piano.

  • A bit twitchy there MR lol :D good stuff tho...

  • wunderbar, aber einen ton nicht sauber getroffen

  • Che Guevara probably listened this.

  • i think there was an accidental accidental?

  • He sure did a number on that piano :D

  • I know I'll never live long enough to master this song. Notes, maybe, but not the speed. Any pianist will realize this has to be the most difficult piece ever, which is why I so appreciate it. Thank you so much for playing this perfectly!

  • @candyfourpaws difficult, yes. most difficult piece ever? not even close. learn your literature.

Liszt Hungarian Rhapsodies, Liszt Paganini Etudes, Balakirev Islamey, etc....

  • This is going to sound strange...but this melody is totally featured in one of the harder songs on DDR ...so...thanks Chopin

  • The song needs subtitles to describe its awesomeness... wow

  • His left hand is dying

  • how gently to visit our planet

  • Why must pianists make their bouncy hair the central focus of the entire performance. The Breck Girl looks on w/envy. I don't doubt Bunin's getting into this performance. Only his hairdresser knows for sure.

  • Sixteenth notes + minor scale = sex

  • @ChrisKogos looooooooooooool

  • Incredible. In five years I've never heard this song played with so little emotion. He plays almost the entire right hand staccato, and barely uses the pedal at all. I know high-schoolers who can play this piece, and play it better than this.

  • @Ulyenov you do realize the original score had no pedal markings right? So little emotion? What in the hell are you talking about, this is full of emotion, you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

  • I whip my hair back and forth

  • His hair. It bounces.

  • this song is beatiful

  • Youtube search "kakumei", click on first link. Techno Remix!

  • This was on a list of the easiest piano pieces to play.. what?!

  • @Tinewashere Trolled softly. I suppose a left handed player would enjoy their right hand's easy time.

  • The left hand is INSANELY hard to play fast. Incredible there Bunin. One of my favourite classical piano pieces.

Very good emotion also. Enjoyed listening.

  • excellent job by brunin. one of the best versions ive heard

  • Bejezzus those figures for the left hand take some powerful muscles!

  • anyone else jamming this because of CATHERINE?

  • OMFG! My mouth literally DROPED open as soon as he started playing, and it stayed there! :O

  • I'm not gonna lie, I like the way his hair shakes. BUT I think I like his piano MUCH better!

  • the top comments are shit

  • @theknifekid Funny, right?

  • @theknifekid then... you are shit?

  • @theknifekid INCEPTION

  • @theknifekid if its true, your coment is shit too

  • Honestly this is a sexy piece!<3 No reason to dislike!

  • this is my fave etudes of chopin!!

  • Bunin, I love you. I love the way you play Chopin. That is all.

  • ahogado, clasica de fondo, y nadie me moleste.

  • Haha I noticed a mistake at 1:20 XD

  • @lipwen94 at 1:20 there is supposed to b a g over the f in the upper voice. not a mistake.

  • @18chrisbliss Really? I dunno... I haven't see the score, it sounded like a mistake to me though lol...

  • @lipwen94

That wasn't a mistake, but he does make mistakes at 0:14 and 1:48. Great pianists are not infallible. An expressive performance is more important than a flawless one.

  • 太喜歡這個曲子了,一定要練會!

  • He looks like Kip from Napoleon Dynamite

  • thank goodness for those subtitles

  • It's a good night for a curse!

  • Amazing skills... really creepy looking though...

Other than that though he has a really gentle touch if you can hear past the song's intensity. This is one of my favorite Chopin etudes to play; it's simple but loses no impact from it

  • Just watching this makes my fingers hurt -.-

  • ...Okay. Who heard this playing Catherine?

  • @bunniesaresocutey I DID LOL

i instantly recognized it and was like OMG

  • @bunniesaresocutey I did, Dumuzid forces you to repeat its scene several times if you don't think fast and accurate enough.

  • I think the pianist is born on September 25 1966 ;-)

  • 91 people are dumb & blind

  • don't ask where I am at

  • Hey at least you have made it to the 4th page!!!!!!!!!!

  • This makes me wanna cry because I can't even get past the 4th page of this damn piece! D;

  • DAYUM.

  • by far this is the best practice for your left hand to be faster on the keys

  • @Bru21om More like a good warm-up routine for me! :D

  • @youngold95 proove it.

  • @Bru21om

    indeed!!

i should give it a try... xD

  • this guy was having an orgasm

  • @Tslikkhands96 LOL HAHAHAHA. MORE LIKE HE IS GIVING THE PIANO AN ORGASM!

  • @ZackLestrange HAHA tru, tru... lol!!!

  • @Tslikkhands96 while he have an orgasm, me am having a eargasm XD

  • Comment removed

  • @Tslikkhands96 that's how beautiful music is :-)

  • I heard this in Catherine Boss stage and i was like, I NEED TO GET THIS lol

  • i like the way he flips his hair :)

  • Dumuzid BEAM!

  • Misto ¨subtitles¨ NOTY?

  • he keeps messing up... still amazing though :/

  • @tydanieloh Even the greatest musicians mess up...but what makes them great is that they keep going, and get even better :)

  • CATHERRRRRRINNNNNNNE!!!

  • @Personaforever you mean "KATHERRRRRINNNNNNNE!!!"

  • @Kytseo

    ...Or do I?!

  • Dumuzid has appeared.

  • @Linkforce088

    It's the killer.

    Don't die!

  • @Linkforce088

    Eye of the Morning Star!

  • For a better interpretation, see Lugansky--this is not up to performance caliber, sorry.

  • See, I knew I recognized this song, but I thought it was due to my RPG knowledge.

  • Chopin came to Austria to study because Poland got too loud what with the Germans stomping everywhere and France asking for more food (polish sausages anyone?). He used this song to retaliate against them.

  • im scared

  • @TheMonajavidi imagine that in september 1939 this one was played on the street by inhabitant when Royal Castle in Warsaw was burning, true story

  • Merci pour une performance très splendide☆

  • Where is he now?

I know that he used to live in Japan with his Japanese wife but I don't know where he has gone now.

  • Napoleon Dynomite?

  • Una actuación asombrosa tiene mucha fuerza y se notan el sentimiento que salen como un torbellino al tocar cada nota. Esta actuación a sido una de las pocas que me han dejado anonadada.

  • best version out there!

  • The fury must be in your eyes, not in your hands. That would be the proper polish spirit for this piece.

  • I'm learning that song but not that fast lol

  • haha he is angry for no reason

  • His fingers are like little ninjas

  • @a

Ahelphand: What are you talking about?! Even wikipedia says true:

The 12th Étude appeared around the same time as the November Uprising in 1831. Chopin poured his emotions on the matter into many pieces that he composed at that time, the "Revolutionary Étude" standing out as the most notable example. Upon conclusion of Poland's failed revolution against Russia, he cried "All this has caused me much pain. Who could have foreseen it!"

  • dude thats not that good, you should check out the guy who can almost play the c scale right!

  • Octopus Hand

  • He plays really well... but with all due respect, I heard at least one mistake... then again, I can't play this song, so... ^^; Still really nice though.

  • MASTERPIECE

  • La miglior interpretazione che gira su Youtube... Splendido... E non importa se ha sbagliato qualche nota...

  • this was the first song I learned and then I played it with my nose

  • @NeverMainstreamDude This is the first song u learned? O_O ... ... ... Wtf i've been playing for about 10 years and I'm playing it now O_O and im 14

  • @MrMaple101 ofcourse this aint the first song I learned, I am also 14 but have only been playing piano for fun in like 1 year or so xD

  • 小学校の頃、初めてブーニンのピアノを聴いて衝撃を受けたのが

    第六番英雄とこの曲です。

    いつか本物を聴くのが夢です。。

  • great playing

  • OMG

  • you can hear my latest piano composition by searching "Ballade of the stars". Click on first video.

  • Cool Justin Bieber hair!

Wait a minute, this video is older than Justin Bieber,

What means that JUSTIN BIEBER HAS COPIED HIS HAIR FROM BUNIN

  • @LuckyPiano7 along with justin bieber has come a whole new breed of jokes

  • Great technique, speed, mostly accurate with the notes, but... Where are the dynamics...?
