Please Reply ASAP...I want to Buy the CArd Today.. please Compare both the Cards and please tell me which one will be better !!! faster..? REPLY ASAP
The 9800 is almost exactly the same, there has to be a preformance difference, but even though there is, it's too hard to notice because it isn't much of an upgrade from the 8800.
does someone know whats wrong? i play crysis on patch 1.0, and evry time i load a level, i can only play a few minutes and my pc says he's in the sleep stand, is that because of the patch??
because i have an 9600GT and a C2D E7300, it cant be that
Im building an nvidia rig sli 8800gts my brother is thinking of building an ati rig (we dont now what cards yet probly somthing in the same price range as the 8800gt/9800gt) we will see which performs better for the money and so forth.
That will be able to run it very well, even on highest. However, it would be much cheaper if you bought all those parts off NewEgg separately and built the PC yourself.
The only difference between a 8800 and a 9800 is the core's size, how much energy it uses, and the amount of heat. the 9800 improves on all of these, with just a bit of performance upgrade (Since the core size decreased)
well when he bought his card about 1 and a half year ago there was no such thing as a 9800. Secondly there was nothing better you could possibly buy back then (price/performance wise).
OT: It's not realy running smooth I have to say. I had a 8800GT as well and I could only run it on medium. It was on a 22" @ 1680x1050 though. It was also laggin on medium even though it was clocked a bit higher than your card.
I would disagree and if you r going to go by benchmarks you have to take in affect that every so often they switch. ATI is stronger one year and nvida the next. just seems to be the wat it works. I still would never ever buy anythig other then a nvidia chip set but thats just me.
i have a Evga geforce 8800gt(without overclock) , 2gb ram, athlon 64x2 4000 2.1ghz all working in windows xp, i have the game, but dont know what is the best resolution and settings to play fine. please i need some help about my card, overclock stuff, ya know...:) thanks.
get a dual core, or a quad if you can afford it. keep in mind though intel has realesed its new processor socket so you won't be able to upgrade to new stuff with the motherboard you buy.

What's funny is this guy has been Pming me too rofl. He claims he's 34, but all you have to do is read his comments and messages to tell he isn't, or if he is, he is one pathetic 34 year old.

xp64 exprime el micro amd64 haciendo mas fluido cualquier juego. Ya he probado con algunos y en todos me va increible en comparación con el vista 32/64 y xp32.
con la gx29800 640 3dmark2006 11000 and with xp32 9200.
In vista64 work terrible.

I strongly doubt that you can play this game on Medium even with those components in your system. Especially at action. I have Core 2 Quad @ 2.4Ghz with 4GB DDR2 800Mhz and 8800 GT SLI and must run the game on medium.

What a load of bullshit...My:
AMD 64 X2 6000+Dual Core@3.0GHz
3GB of PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM @ 667MHz
EVGA Nvidia GeForce 8800GT(came stock, but OC'ed myself to: 702/1750/936)
Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 32bit
Runs Crysis at High/Very high settings, at 1440 x 900(no AA), with a steady 25-30fps, IN ACTION....

How can you strongly doubt it? I just made a video and proved it lol! Crysis has problems with SLI alot of the time, that is probabaly your problem.

Well have you been in the most intense areas with playing max and not having lags? Cause recommended settings needs a Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz
