Nice review. Arkham Horror is a true classic. As far as expansions go - I like to be judicious and only add one at a time (sometimes 1 large and 1 small), though keeping everything separated and setup is a chore. Keep it up guys - you do a great job.
@dsr15 Thanks a lot! And I agree with the expansions - adding more than one at a time is generally madness - not to mention annoying to take apart, like you mentioned!
1. Pretty sure the retainer gives $2 per turn, so you were richer than you thought. 2. The Mythos cards have to be resolved in a certain order. a. Gate/monster b.clue appears c. Monster move d.text read. This is because some card text would affect an area a monster moved into. 3. In the previous video, you stated that if there is an active rumor, the next rumor Mythos would be discarded, but I'm pretty sure a-c would occur, and the 2nd rumor is ignored. Could be wrong on that one, but su
@dkyzar 1. That's correct, it gives $2. I actually didn't even notice Ken was only taking 1 there 'til now :/
2. We actually did note the correct sequence in part 1, but Ken's kinda set in his ways on that, and given the monsters we had it wouldn't have affected anything, so I figured it was no biggie.
3. That one's entirely on me; I haven't actually read the rules in a while, and Ken was out of the room so he couldn't correct me :(
Thanks for pointing these out to us in any case! :)
One of my favourite board games, but I agree it's complicated and in small doses. Can get burn out very quickly with this game. I'd like to know which addons you rate as the best, as I hear some are better than others.
As far as expansions? Personally I'm a fan of the small box expansions, as they give you a monster of the week sort of feel, without making the game much more complicated (most of the big boxes add new boards, which tend to complicate things a lot). In particular I like "Lurker at the Threshold" and "Curse of the Dark Pharaoh" as I feel they add the most!

@dkyzar You are right all around! I'll make some annotations as soon as I get a chance to note the mistakes.
Thanks for the comment! We actually do appreciate being told when we missed/mistook things.
