opinions are like assholes bro, everybodys' got one.there is no question that he had the talent to be a legend here. he chose to jump from series to series and cemented his legacy as a really good jouneyman driver. he never WANTED to go to indy. his asswipe car owner put him there. his goal was to use indy(which he did)as a stepping stone to his hearts desire, formula 1. WAS one of the best drivers. He still has talent, but his temper gets in the way too often. He will never get on a great team with that temper. What car owner who can attract any top driver would pick a driver that purposely wrecks cars.

That would be a slight inprovement over the existing Dallara/Honda show. I have one of these 'coffe table' type books called "Indycar" by Roger Huntington, which was published in '94 and, as a technical illustrated history of all the various cars that raced at Indianapolis up to that time, is one that can be reread many times over. One see all different engineering approaces to building an oval track racecar over the years.

While the existing cars are admittedly normally aspirated flat bottom fast, there's just something about this current "cookie cutter" philosophy that takes a lot of the allure out of the annual event.
