We can all remember that we waves are the ocean happening (without wind, there are no waves; remember the 8 winds - praise/blame, pain/pleasure, fame/infamy, gain/loss -- they keep the waves in our mind moving, and the ocean invisible; when the winds reduce, the waves return to their true nature - the ocean.....

I arrived myself to exactly the same conclusion. There are other similar metaphors. Ie.If God is a river then we would be like the water that flows through a mill. Depending on the mill, the water flows differently, but it is allways the same substance. Just like the water, the soul flows. It is not something attached to matter. Therefore, it's the same for everyone.
