  • why would fishing be censored?

  • I meant the swearing, not the fishing, all though we have too many regulations. There's a few F bombs in there,

    Cheers Greg

  • @Reefari oh ok :) then I get it xD

  • Good day of fishing!!! Better than any good day at work!!

  • Definately rather be fishing!!

    Cheers Greg

  • looks like a big ass jew fish :D

  • Big Cod, they call them goldspot cod in North Queensland, or really are an Estuary cod, but go to the offshore reefs when they get bigger. Each spot seems to have a resident cod, Plenty of them, but don't like to catch the big ones,

    Cheers Greg

  • Love it! Great fish.

  • We have a fish like those Pinkies over here in the gulf of Mexico called a Red Snapper...Is this the same fish?

  • Not sure, they do look very similar, and another name the nannygai get called is Pinkies also,

    Cheers Greg

  • Pause at 3:00 ... thumbs up if you think its just wrong

  • @bumcheekgangster whats wrong?

  • @bumcheekgangster how is it wrong?

  • @bumcheekgangster tree hugger

  • did you sell al this catch?

  • In Australia, it is illegal to sell our catch, we are a charter vessel, and all of the catch is shared to the Customers on the day of the fishing trip. Bit sloppy weather conditions, but did well,

    Cheers Greg

  • are those the ones i got from the market? quite expensive

  • Some top reef fish, and worth top dollar if you've got to buy this feed, Big Cod too, so would add up,

    Cheers Greg

  • @Reefari ahh right thx dude

  • did u throw it back?

  • We try and release all the big cod,

    Cheers Greg

  • what kind of cod is that plz answer

  • We catch them offshore and call them Goldspot cods, but they are also Called Estuary Cod, but go offshore when they get larger, plus I think Goldspot Cod sounds better? Who knows, but that's north Queensland for you,

    cheers Greg

  • yack

  • No, Big cod But!!

  • wat bait did you use for the cod?

  • We mainly use Squid, Pilchards, and flesh baits, Cod will grab all these. Livebaits are also great, and the big cod often smash the small fish we catch when you pull them up off the bottom.

    Cheers Greg

  • Considered a release weight? Also i thought any cod over 100cm are protected in northern waters?

  • We vent them at times, and tow them which can work, but definately the release weights are great for big Cod,

    Cheers Greg

  • It's a tough one, we try and release the big cod, but their swim bladders go, even when vented can be hard to release, tow them as well to try get them down. The big ones are great for eating either.

    Cheers Greg

  • In Australia we call them Nannygai, you get a couple of varieties, small mouth and large mouth. The largemougth get up to 10 kilo's or more, our best is 15 kilos and that's a monster. We tend to average them around the 5 kilo mark,

    cheers Greg

  • wait is that red snapper???

  • Thanks Again, Was a pretty slow day until the end, when it went off, Get quite a few big Cod and heaps of Nannygai,

    Cheers Greg

  • nice video ..!!!!

  • wtf why did they keep it =( fish like that are rare enough =S

  • We try to release the big cod, but they don't survive or release due to the Baratrauma of bringing them up from the Deep. We catch alot of Cod in Various sizes so there is plenty of them, and we have pretty tough size limits, and 35% of the Great Barrier reef is now protected from fishing,

    Cheers Greg

  • @Reefari oky yeah i didnt know that but still i find it sad that fish like that are caught when overfishing is such a massive problem in the world xD thx though =P

  • @Reefari iv been told the reason the die is becuase the weight of lifting them up into the boat breaks there back, aperently they hav very weak back bones and break very easily. idk whether thats rite or not but all i no is that like ya said they usually dont survive if ya release em again.

  • Fishing is something man has been doing for years, we follow all legal requirements and are at least able to release unwanted fish. No fish are wasted and all eaten, and very good to eat, with reef fish being some of the best fish on the planet. Hunting I agree with you, thanks for your comments,

    cheers Greg

  • fishing and hunting for fun is for fags that because of they´r lack of penis turn to the only fing they can do, and that´s killing animals that can´t defend...

    it´s called compensating

  • That cod looks like a grouper

  • Hi, we call them cod in Australia, you guys must call the grouper,

    Cheers greg

  • @Reefari no i think there different.. im from nzl

  • My mistake dude i take it back ,, thanks 4 the info i am more knowledgeable,

  • NOT A COD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • G'day, In Australia, we call them Goldspot Cod, or Estuary Cod, but when they get bigger they leave the estuaries and live on the deep shoals. Good fish and good fun,

    Cheers Greg
