I am collecting the hardcover EC archives volumes. they are expensive, and getting scarce as I hear they ( the publishers) are going tits up! great to have originals though, thanks for the post !
@TERRORKLOWNS Sorry but i don't see it, the six fingers that is. I count four knuckles on his right hand which would be four fingers plus his thumb which would make five fingers but the right hand is drawn in a weird kind of way to almost look like there are six. I think i also have the reprint your talking about and will check that out..very cool my man!
@captainstrangelife lol. yea take a closer look, there is one finger that is there, he drew it and i guess no one saw it. when go from left to right count to the forth then look next to it, u will see a tip on a finger.
@captainstrangelife oh nevermind, lol all this time i thought it was a extra finger, lol you r right i took another look, opps, there is 4, dang, and i thought i found something, lol
@Rimsa Yes they looked great and the reason for such large letters and logos is that during the time in which these comics were published the main retailers news stands where the fight for space on an already overcrowded stand was ongoing. Large, prominent logos stood out as eye catchers.
Love those EC Horror comics. "Ghastly" is my favorite artist. Wicked creepy. A lot of the other 50's Horror comics were awful. Nice covers but terrible interior stories.
I have a reprinted issue of Tales From The Crypt no. 29. Two of my favorite stories in the issue are Grounds... For Horror and A Sucker For A Spider. Brilliant artwork of Jack Davis and Graham Ingles.
@dakenhowlett Thanks Chris, appreciate it! A quick note, I prefer to describe the period from 1947 to 1955 as the atomic/dark age and I will be getting into that in another video soon. Thanks again!
@captainstrangelife wonderful :) i look so much forward to that video. i know each era of comics can be broken into sub eras but i usually use the kiss method for most things in my life. (Keep It Simple Stupid) lol its fuuny saying :)

if you look at the werewolf cover, the guy on the ground has 6 fingers. I have a poem i sent in to them when they did the reprints, in book 2.

@captainstrangelife
Neat, I didn't know that.
I wish more comics today had that type of layout.
