I like Ringo's '70s solo recordings the best out side of the Beatles. He tried a little bit of everything..big band music, country, pop rock, and the disco flavored music of the late '70s. His 1973 album 'RINGO" featured the Lennon penned "I'm the Greatest" with Ringo, George and John, the only one missing was Paul. Too bad, they could have had a quasi "reunion". That idea should have struck them then.
Who would have thought in the year 2010 Ringo would look as good as he did in the 1960s? Incredible, he's got the immortal gene and it proves the point that sickly kids age less.
"Ringo" fans.... I hope U will check out the video for my song " RINGO ". It's a very retro video with Beatleish touches. It was done as a labor of love and with the utmost respect for the Fabs. The song and video is my attempt at putting a little bit of the Beatle spirit out there for Beatle fans. It's also my tribute to George Harrison's slide playing as well as Ringo's unique style.
Ringo has such a distinct voice and it never changes,he sounds just about the same today (at nearly 70) as he did with The Beatles.
Speaking again of Ringo's vocals, I'm very serious when I say many people have commented(literally)on my music video 'It's A Complicated World' that my singing sounds similar to Ringos!
@BenditlikeBecker How 'lucky' are YOU ?. You know fuck all and have no interest in music. This is the guy the Beatles really wanted as their drummer and was perfect for the band
I feel Ringo 'believes the hype' these day. Needs to get back to earth. Underated as a drummer on the early Beatles recordings though. There is no doubt that he made the Beatles. The missing piece of the jigsaw.
What does he mean that they 'sat round for hours' trying to find songs for the compilation? That would be the easiest greatest hits album in the world to assemble. You simply take the 15 songs in his 40 year solo career that don't suck, and you put them on an album.
no this is this year he released a compilation of his greatest hits, photograph photograph was a song off of his 1973 album "Ringo" and he looked nothing like this he had long hair so this is obviously from this year :p
I loved that interview! Their comments are so The Beatles. Like when they are in Miami packing and Ringo says he doesn't have room to pack his jacket so George opens his pocket while they stuff it in there. LOVE IT! They're so literal. If you haven't seen that video type in The Beatles invade Miami.

YES Ringo does look great for his age. I have played drums a few times and lost my hearing from playing. I wonder if Ringo has lost his hearing too?

He's 67, but his hair is still brown. It's so short I don't think he colors it.
