  • HAHAHA... That's the Squeezebox. I took it apart. All you are looking at is the circuit board inside a Squeezebox. The Carver piece BEHIND it is a CD player.

  • There is no "Carver Client" It is just my stereo. The laptop is the client... all the music is on the laptop.

  • @jamessauter

Hi again. I mean this big thing on top of the stereo, where the title you select with your iPhone will be repeatet in a display. What is it? Sorry, that i'm so courious. Beside this, i found now some information about Carver. But nothing about this peace of technik.

  • Fine Video,

but can you please write something about your CARVER Client? I did'nt find informations about CARVER and nothing about a NetClient like this. It looks like a combination of NetClient and Equalizer.

Hope to reade something next ;-)

  • clean your house

  • yawn...

  • This is possibly the coolest thing ever!

If only iPeng was available for Android, at this time of writing!

  • too slow!

  • Yeah it really doesn't need to be 6 minutes long.

  • Sorry guys, I don't come on here very often...

The 1st song I played is Dave Matthews - Some Devil...

One of his BEST songs in my opinion, very deep and sad. If I'm not mistaken, it is about a girlfriend/wife that has died, and he wishes it were him instead of her....

and yes, the 2nd song is KT Tunstall - Black Horse & The Cherry Tree

Look for some of the live versions on here of it, they are pretty impressive !!!

  • What is the first song playing? sounds great

and the speakers you have? looks very impressive! (-; I want the new Duet setup so I have a dedicated remote. Thanks for the demo!

  • KT Tunstall - Black Horse & The Cherry Tree

  • can you use the Squeezebox using music files from a network storage drive instead of havibg the pc turned on whilst playing music?? thanks

  • Generally, no the squeezebox does not play music directly from a NAS drive. You must have a computer running the server software. (The computer running the software can of course read music from a NAS drive and serve it to the squeezebox, but it must be running.)

However, there are several NAS devices that can run the slimdevices server software themselves (no PC required). You can buy such a NAS box directly from SlimDevices, or search around to find some other alternatives (cheap NAS + DIY).

  • Cool app - thanks for posting this vid! Am trying to decide if I want to go with an SB3, a Duet, or just use my iPhone the way you demonstrated...
