Itzcuintli is the name the aztecs gave to the coated variety of this breed. Hairless were called Xoloitzcuintli (Xolotl + Itzcuintli). Nowadays the official name of the breed is Xoloitzcuintle for both, coated and hairless.

so its xoloitzcuintle? because in my book Daily Life Of The Aztecs by Jacques Soustelle, it says Itzcuintli. Anyways, great video!
