Another song with the Goldfish Bowl affect,seems to be a trend to ruin these songs by downloading from others and passing them off for glory.i bet your name pops up a lot on ask jeeves .poor old Maurice Elwin never sounded so bad.

Sorry... posting cock-up! Was trying to say, the goldfish bowl effect is caused by overzealous noise reduction. Better to leave some surface noise and retain most of the audio detail. I use Magix software and another side effect is needle burn (buzzing/rattling on loud passages) being turned into the sound of crockery avalanching from a kitchen cupboard!

Arthur Lally brilliant arranger,band leader and musician.Made 100s of records.A depressive who suffered from extreme exhaustion from overwork. .He wanted to be hired to personally assassinate Hitler but the FO turned down his plan and soon after killed himself under a tube train.

Thanks for all the great postings of old music. It's one of my favorite kinds of music. I've Never heard of Arthur Lally or Maurice Elwin, but I sure like this recording. These recordings reach across time to entertain.
