Thank you Rowoches. That's my grandmother and I never had the chance to see her and my grandfather sing a song together. My grandfather passed when I was very young, so this helps me a lot with finally seeing them together with their music. :^)
@981Willie: Wow! No problem! This is such an honor to have you comment! I'm glad that you've enjoyed my posting and that I've brought back memories of your loved ones!
Lord have mercy! I remember Sister Richburg from when I was a kid. She used to always sit on the row in front of us at The Way of the Cross Church in Washington D.C. She used always lead songs on the Pastor's Choir. RIP Mother Richburg!
@CookieMonster11550: Oh wow!! I didn't know she passed! Do you know if John or Julius Richburg are still around? Also, I'm glad that I could bring back memories to you! Take care & God Bless!
Yeah she passed probably 10 years ago at least now. She broke her collar bone and it just went downhill from there. Her husband John passed away many years ago and I'm not sure about Julius. Last I heard, her son Terrance was the minister of music at the Bethesda Baptist Church in Washington D.C. Yes you sure did bring back memories and Lord knows I appreciate it! I can still her now pulling up at the church in that big Crown Victoria!
@CookieMonster11550: ThankYou very much for the information and your recollections about Mrs. Richburg. I really enjoyed their singing. I'm uncertain about how many albums they recorded, but I have 3 of them. They had their very own style.
