@FCFEventRider well besides the fact that this video is a few years old , and i havent riden this horse in almost 2 years. i see what ur saying but then again it leads back to the fact i have a halter on , and that when i am jumping him bareback ..... i need to ride diffrently , there is no bit. a halter just puts pressure on their nose, so i would need to have a firmer "contact' on him. oh well im not mad and i appreciate ur trying to help , but it doesnt make sense (not trying to be rude)

i have schooled both novice and some training i was going to show in novice this year but i had to sell my horse suddenly and well thngs just never really worled out. and i dout that i wil lbe showing for the next 2 or 3 years bc i am bringing in my 2 and a half year old tb gelding for training.

yeah i do i am starting to get into the hunter /jumpers more .. just for the fact that they have more shows during the year than eventing. but then again im getting really good in dressage so i dont know what to do just quit yet . what do you do ?

Oh...I see. ya thats true. but i think its for the fact that for eventing you have to train alot ya know? I event and its amazing and its my life, I would neevver quit. but I do OCCASIONALLY go to a PSJ show or something just to work on my stadium and stuff, but not to be all competative there or whatever :) ya know?

yeah it's just hard to advance since my trainer is a pro in dressage . i mean she can teach jumping she was the one who taught me but she said once i get into prelimanary level or above like 4ft i will need to find another trainer b/c she is just not a jumping lady lol . she does grand prix dressage tho so thans why i am thinking about taking that path ..idk lol

yeah i understand. thankfully my trainer is an eventing fanatic, evented all her life (and still does), and knows my horse insanely well. she also used to own/trained/bought at an auction our other QH/Paint that I will probably get in about a year. I really would like a thoroughbred though, because i have such LONG legs! haha

Warmb., AngloArab, Arabwelsh, Dutchwarmb., Hano, Holsteiner, ISH,Selle Francais, Swiss Warmb., Morgan, QH, Paint, etc. really, u need to find a horse that works for u and ur skills,no matter the breed. Im a believer in the idea that each rider has that horse out there waiting for them & once she rides 'the one' shell kno. So I wouldnt discount any breed-u never know what the individual horse will bring. even a TB could b a crappy eventer. u never know. 0.o

well we have decided that after we sell him i will bring back my warmblood/tb cross tootall back for training. he was never really sound when we took him to our trainers in the 1st place and so we took him back to my dads ranch and took him to see this vet and we got him fixed , so when sooner is sold tootall will be my next horse :3

i was thinking to sell spotty but he is a goodjumper but had lost alot of condition and he is coming back slowly .. but im having ups and downs on selling him

everyone eventually has to sell their horse to move up in riding . and if there is something holding him or her back you cant really progress. If u are even thinking about selling him you know that you are going to someday so what you can do is either 2 things. 1 you can sell him right now and get a horse that is capable of doing what you want or 2 wait another 6 months to a year and see how spotty turns out. eather way you will have to sell him for what ever reason later on in life

acctually she called me today and said that she doesnt think he is the right horse for her but then she said that the only reason she isnt getting him is b/c she is moving to NC and doesnt know where to board him there and then she said that she might consider getting him . lol so i really have no idea what is going to happen with her but it doesnt sound like shes ready for a horse right now and so she wont get him . lol and thanks for the compliment!i will let him no u think so :D
